πŸ‰ A BIG THANK YOU TO GARIOCH SPORTS CENTRE! πŸ™Œ

A huge thank you to Garioch Sports Centre for working with Big Rig Rugby during our camps and helping us deliver outdoor pitch sessions.

Having access to quality outdoor facilities allows us to get players out on the pitch, put their skills into practice and develop their game in a realistic rugby environment. πŸ’ͺ

Our camps are all about small groups, high-quality coaching and individual feedback, and having great facilities and partners helps us deliver that.

We really appreciate the support and look forward to working together on future camps! β€οΈπŸ–€

Better facilities. Better opportunities. Better player development.

πŸ‰ WHAT DID YOUR RUGBY WEEK LOOK LIKE? πŸ‘€

For the first time in a few years, I’m not coaching a team every weekend, which means I have the freedom to go and watch whoever I want, whenever I want.

And do you know what? It’s got me enjoying the community game all over again. β€οΈπŸ–€

This week, I wandered down with Rowan and Debs to watch one of our 1-2-1 players in action for Garioch against Orkney.

If you know Rowan she would rob banks for snacks πŸ˜…

No coaching duties, no clipboard… just enjoying the rugby, supporting our players and being part of the community. πŸ™Œ

Sometimes taking a step back lets you appreciate the game from a different perspective.

What did your rugby week look like? πŸ‰

Drop it in the comments! πŸ‘‡

πŸ‰ COACHING ESSENTIALS COMPLETE! πŸ”₯

Great to finish Scottish Rugby Game Development Coaching Essentials course with the NESCOL students.

Hopefully we’ll see many of them in the future, putting their skills into practice and delivering their trade β€” whether that’s in rugby or another sport.

One of the biggest things we can do as coaches is magpie.

🧠 Learn from other coaches
πŸƒ Learn from other sports
🌍 Learn from different environments
πŸ‘€ Take ideas, adapt them and make them your own

There’s no one way to coach.

Keep learning.
Keep growing.
Keep evolving.

The next generation of coaches starts here. πŸ‘ŠπŸ‰
