This Drowning Prevention Week, we’re reflecting on our Caldicot Bridging Water Safety event and the importance of teaching children how to stay safe around water. 💦

Working alongside Swim Wales, RNLI, Gwent Police and South Wales Fire & Rescue Service, young people took part in engaging sessions designed to build confidence and awareness.

Wrth i ni nodi Wythnos Atal Boddi gyda , rydym yn edrych yn ôl ar ein digwyddiad Pontio Diogelwch Dŵr yn Nhrefynwy ym mis Ebrill hwn, atgof pwerus o pam mae'r gwaith hwn yn bwysig. 💦

Drwy weithio gydag ysgolion a phartneriaid, llwyddom i gyrraedd cannoedd o blant, gan roi gwybodaeth hanfodol iddynt i adnabod risgiau a chadw'n ddiogel o amgylch dŵr.

💙 | Monmouth Throwback

As we mark Drowning Prevention Week with , we’re looking back at our Bridging Water Safety event in Monmouth this April, a powerful reminder of why this work matters. 💦

By working with schools and partners, we were able to reach hundreds of children, giving them vital knowledge to recognise risks and stay safe around water.

✅ 15 schools involved
✅ 472 children engaged
✅ Lifesaving skills and awareness delivered

Education like this plays a key role in preventing drowning — helping young people stay safe not just in the pool, but in everyday environments around water.

🌟 Dathlu Gwirfoddolwyr MonLife! 🌟 Celebrating Our MonLife Volunteers! 🌟

This Volunteer Week, we’re incredibly proud to shine a light on the amazing individuals who volunteer with us here at MonLife.

Our Leadership Academy scheme is delivered in partnership with the four secondary schools in Monmouthshire and is coordinated by our Sport Development team.

It gives young people the opportunity to volunteer within their school and within the local community as well. We take on new volunteers every September, and the Sport Development team will be in contact with your school to share this opportunity with you.
