Blue Brazil 1–1 Monifieth
The team travelled across to Dunfermline today to take on Blue Brazil in a friendly, with blue skies and warm Father’s Day sunshine setting the scene in the Kingdom of Fife.
Monifieth had to dig deep before a ball was even kicked. With three debutants, only two recognised defenders, and no outfield subs available due to illness and injury, the boys knew they’d need to improvise and adapt. And they absolutely did.
Despite the challenges, the team put in a brilliant, hard‑working performance, showing real maturity and togetherness. The match finished 1–1, but Monifieth created several excellent chances and were unlucky not to come away with the win.
The Monifieth goal itself was a well taken finish from John Craig ⚽️
A special mention goes to the many lads who stepped into unfamiliar roles and got on with it without fuss. Callum McEwan earned today’s Man of the Match, delivering a superb shift at left‑back — disciplined, composed, and full of running.
Thanks to Blue Brazil 2013s Blues for hosting and for a competitive, enjoyable game.
Well done boys — plenty of encouraging signs.
