Congratulations to Mr. President, Roy Fisher, on a fantastic, well-deserved Mr President’s Day this past Saturday!
It was a super day filled with great energy, brilliant performances, unforgettable moments and plenty of cakes and refreshments in the Halfway House! Thank you to everyone who took part, and an extra special congratulations to all of our prize winners! 🏆✨Following the gents’ competition, 30 ladies joined in with a 9 hole competition and Mr President also welcomed his invited guests. The day was topped off by a much-enjoyed evening buffet and entertainment from popular singer Matty Roberts.

🌞 Celebrating Mr Captain's Day! 🌞

Congratulations to Mr Captain, Colin Wood, for a fantastic day! On Saturday 27th June, we were blessed with great weather, great spirits, and even better company.

A huge thank you to Six Ton Dog for providing brilliant evening entertainment and helping round off the day in style.

Congratulations to all our winners—well deserved! And thank you to everyone who took part or helped in the halfway house and made the day such a success! ⛳🏆🎶

This is just showing off now Graham! ⛳️
Many congratulations to MGC member Graham Bright who secured his 7th - yes 7th hole in one while playing in the gents’ comp this weekend. This latest one was on the 16th so he didn’t have the pleasure of seeing it hole out but had a lovely surprise when he got to the green (seen in the background). A great achievement. There are members who have been at the club for over 50 years still dreaming of having their first ace! ☝🏻

It’s 🔥 🔥 🔥 out there and our wonderful greenkeepers are doing their very best to keep the course in great condition. The eco rough areas are now in full bloom, providing an excellent nectar source for wildlife and it’s great to see plenty of butterflies and bees making the most of these areas, which continue to support biodiversity across the course.
Course maintenance this week has included hand watering selected green areas to top up moisture levels and maintain healthy turf during the warm weather. Fairways have been Rotary mowed to remove seed stalks and improve overall presentation and paths and walkways have been trimmed to keep access routes neat, safe, and accessible.
All fairway marker discs and tee signs have had TLC throughout the course too to enhance course presentation. - you do a great job. 🚜
