Sunshine and blue skies for today’s friendly fixtures against Annan Seaforth Tennis Courts and Dumfries Tennis Club. Well done to our 8u team, Odie, Campbell and Innes; our 12u team, Joseph and Zavier; and our 14u team Lucy and Julia. They all represented our club admirably and we are very proud of them. Congratulations to Innes who was overall 8u champion and to Campbell who was runner up. A great achievement against some very good Annan players. Joseph and Zavier played well but lost their matches against a great Dumfries duo. Lucy and Julia played a best of three sets doubles match against Annan. At 4-1 down in the third set it looked like an Annan victory but the girls dug deep to turn the match around winning the third set 6-4! Great tennis and great teamwork!

It was great to welcome some junior players from Annan Seaforth Tennis Courts and Dumfries Tennis Club for friendly matches. Lots of great tennis played. The 8u competition ended in a draw (Beechgrove 8 - Annan 8.) with the Beechgrove 14u girls winning 3-0 against Dumfries. Thanks to all the players, helpers and organisers 😊🎾
