Yesterday our Junior 6s team hosted Lochmaben and Powfoot in glorious conditions.

There was some very good golf on show from all teams in the skills challenges and in the 6 hole event.

Lochmaben Golf Club came out on top in the putting and chipping challenges with Moffat the top scorers in the pitching challenge.

In the 6 hole event, Lochmaben finished top with 118 points, Powfoot Golf Club were 2nd with 115 points and Moffat came in 3rd with 112 points.

Thanks to Lochmaben and Powfoot for attending and we hope the kids enjoyed their day.

Thanks to the club for courtesy of the course as well as the bar and catering staff for looking after the kids with food and drink on completion of the event.

Finally, thanks to Mitch, Mike & Jamie for assisting Kevin & Russell with the running of the competition.

👋 Meet The Team Monday – Courtney Grieve

This week we're kicking off our new Meet The Team Monday series by introducing a familiar face to many of our members and visitors – Courtney Grieve, Manager at The Moffat Golf Club! ⛳

1. Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you love the most about being Manager at The Moffat Golf Club?

"I've been at the club for 7 years now. I take care of all things golf and hospitality related, from memberships, open competitions and green fees to lunch bookings and private events. I help ensure the day-to-day running of the clubhouse goes smoothly.

What I love most about working at the club is that it never feels like coming to work. I have a great team of people around me who all work well together – we get the job done and enjoy many laughs along the way."

2. What makes The View Restaurant special, and what's your go-to-choice from the menu?

"The View certainly lives up to its name! Nothing compares to looking out at the stunning scenery while enjoying a bite to eat or a drink. My go-to menu choices would be our gluten-free lasagne or one of our homemade soups."

3. When you're not at The Moffat Golf Club, how do you like to spend your free time?

"I like to keep busy outdoors – whether that's cycling, walking my dog, or playing golf."

We’re proud to host the Dumfries Lions Club Charity Golf Tournament once again on Saturday 8th August here at The Moffat Golf Club.

A huge thank you to Ken Humphries and all at Dumfries Lions Club for their continued hard work in organising this fantastic event, which raises valuable funds for local good causes across the community.

We are honoured to have been one of last year’s beneficiary groups and to play our part in supporting such a worthwhile day.
