The Wanderers Skittles Team Forest of Dean Men’s Skittles Team. Established Autumn 2008 at The White Horse, Mitcheldean.

Moved to The Lamb Inn (2017), Drybrook RFC (Spring 2024), back to The White Horse (Autumn 2024), and now back at The Lamb ready for the 2026 summer holidays.

WINTER 2026/27 — DIVISION 2 🎳

And there we are… The Wanderers are in Division 2 for the first time.

A bit of context, because the league setup has got slightly confusing over the last couple of seasons.

Summer 2025 was the last proper competitive divisional league.

Then we had a Mixed League in Winter 2025/26, followed by another Mixed League in Summer 2026.

The Mixed League originally made sense years ago when Forest skittles had 10+ divisions. It mixed things up, gave teams different opposition and stopped everyone playing the same clubs over and over again.

Moving it into the summer also made sense — holidays, players away, teams short, a bit more relaxed.

Not everyone loved it mind. Mixed views in our camp as well.

But having two mixed seasons back-to-back did leave us wondering when we were actually going to get back to a proper competitive divisional league again. 😂

Well, now we finally have.

Winter 2026/27 — Division 2.

And more importantly, something to actually play for again.

Promotion. Pride. Bragging rights.

And probably at least one argument about the rules before Christmas.

Bring it on. 🎳🍺
