Miss Tracey was super, super proud today of her EFSD team!

She arranged an amazing day of first aid mentoring with Laura from Power Medics to help our staff and chaperones achieve their Level 3 Paediatric First Aid, EFAW (Emergency First Aid at Work), and Level 2 Junior Coach First Aid Award qualifications for our young leaders and crew.

We had lots of giggles along the way, and EFSD are incredibly proud to be helping the next generation learn how to support our younger pupils. 💙

The week looked like it was quite literally going to end in 💩… but then, without even knowing it, a very kind dance mum stepped in and saved the day. ❤️

Sometimes it’s the unexpected acts of kindness that remind us what an amazing dance family we have.

Here’s to another week of dancing, problem-solving, laughter, and making memories together. ✨🩰💕

Let’s talk uniform 💬

The other day, one of our younger pupils asked Miss Tracey if she could just wear her grey socks… then quickly followed it with “well, ‘pupil’s name’ sometimes wears grey.” 😅

Later in the day, another conversation came up about getting “agro” for not having the correct uniform.

But here’s why uniform matters ✨

The simple act of arriving prepared — hair done, uniform on, shoes ready — helps children develop focus, discipline, and responsibility from the very start of class. It’s not about perfection or being overly strict; it’s about teaching them that preparation and effort matter.

At EFSD, we see time and time again that when a dancer arrives ready to learn, they move differently. They listen, focus, and take pride in what they do. These habits reach far beyond the studio, helping shape confident, respectful young people who understand that showing up prepared makes all the difference 💫
