Open Match Whitley to Heck Aire & Calder Navigation 22.08.26. this replaces the Broad canal championship cancelled due to Network rail works in Huddersfield.
The fishing was very patchy due gin clear water ,leading the way was Barnsley Maver man Eddie Bridon with Bream and Skimmers for 29lb-00oz hotly pursued by Mick Bower of NuFish Ossett with an all Roach catch for 25lb-06oz.

A team has been down to Woodlesford lock on the canal today and repaired or rebuilt most of the platforms one or two were beyond saving. Karl is hopefully going down Wednesday to sort the hedges out. Should stop some of the moaning hopefully, probably too narrow for some folk though!! 🤣🤣

The Broad Canal Championship has been cancelled on Saturday 22nd August, this is due to the ongoing Network rail works around the Broad Canal.

Another low river after weeks of hot weather ,the odd Bream did feed, but it was mainly Roach and Dace which made up the weights ,leading the way was Mirfield's Ian Dawson with Roach and Dace for 15lb-12oz.
