Final pairs match Whitley to Heck 14 June.

Winner on a hard day for most was Mirfields Andy Bradley with 5 Bream on the pole for 15lb 8oz.

Second was Barnsley man Tony peel with 9lb 4oz

Third place was Saints man Steve Clegg with 9lb 2oz.

First of all a big thank you, from all the competitors and organisers,

The fishing was more difficult than last week but most people had a
few bites and caught fish.
Leading the way this week was Bait-Tech North angler Pete Kitwood,
making the most of his end peg draw Pete used pole, bomb and feeder
to weigh 24lb 0oz of bream and win £170.
In second was Team Diawa Dons John Deakin, drawn at 81 below the
broken bridge John used feeder to catch 6 bream and weigh 16lb 14oz
to win £130.
Close behind, in third place, was Mirfields Chris Dennis. Drawn at 65
on Heck Chris used pole and feeder to weigh 16lb 3oz of bream to win £120.

Another good match with most of the weights coming from the deep
water at Heck.
Leading the way today was Mirfields Trevor Rymer, drawn at Heck Trevor
used both pole and feeder to catch eight bream for 24lb 8oz to win £180.
In second was Nufish Ossett angler Ian Exley. Fishing the Whitley area
of the match Ian was close behind the winner with 23lb 3oz of bream
and skimmers on pole and feeder to win £150.
Third place was taken by Mirfield angler Jan Stephenson pegged below
Blue bridge Jan caught 19lb 14oz of bream on similar tactics to win £130.

The best match so far with 19 double figure weights.
Leading the way was Halifax angler Tim Worsnop, drawn on the
Heck length Tim used the pole to catch 25lb of bream and skimmers
to weigh 25lb 5oz and take the winners purse of £170.
In a close second place was Saints man Steve Clegg . Also on the
Heck length Steve used pole and feeder to catch 7 bream for
24lb 7oz and win £140.
Third place, in a very tight frame, was claimed by Barnsley angler
Glen Lawrence. Using feeder Glen weighed 23lb 12oz from the
middle of the Heck length to win £120.

A warm week and the bream fed well in areas.
Leading the way was Halifax angler Pete Riley. Drawn below
blue bridge Pete caught 11 fish for 32lb 6oz on both pole
and feeder to win £190.
In second was Ossett angler Mick Bower. Drawn below the
broken bridge Mick fished feeder to total 29lb 5oz and win £150.
Third was claimed by Mirfield stalwart Wayne Batholomew.
Wayne was drawn in the narrows below blue bridge and caught
27lb 1oz on feeder to win £130.

Another patchy match but some decent returns for those on fish.
League visitor Simon Walton, Halifax, won the match this week with
a level 20lb of bream taken on pole and feeder from the Heck area
of the length to take the winners purse of £180.
In second place was Mirfield angler Trevor Rymer. Pegged at Whitley
Trevor caught skimmers on feeder and pole to weigh 14lb 9oz and win £150.
Third was claimed by Phil Austin, Barlby, with 13lb14oz of bream and
eels caught on pole from the deeps at the bottom end of Heck to win £130.
