The Katie Philpott School of Dance was established in 2000 by its namesake to celebrate and share her passion for dance with her local community. Over the past 20 years, the School has flourished and now has more than 350 students and won a My Mirfield Award in 2016 and 2018! With a host of events and examinations throughout the year, the three-site School is led by Katie and her busy team of professionally qualified teachers. Dance genres taught include tap, ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, street and musical theatre. KPSD is a thriving part of the community in West Yorkshire and prides itself on promoting both dancing for fun and fitness and, if desired, leading young people through their dance qualifications. With many success stories of young ladies who have gone on to further their careers in performance, KPSD is a proud ambassador for the world of dance.

From learning new dance steps to making magical memories with their friends, every class is filled with fun, creativity and lots of love🩰✨

And of course, there’s always time for a cuddle with our favourite fluffy friends! 🧸💕

This Halloween Half Term, KPSD is opening the doors to a wonderfully weird and spooky academy recommended for children aged 5–10 years! 👻
