Division One Reaches Midway Point with Four-Way Title Race

As we reach the halfway mark, the title race remains highly competitive, with only six points separating the top four teams.

Crossgates currently lead the standings, holding a narrow two-point advantage over second-placed Thongsbridge. However, the leaders have played five home matches, while the chasing teams have played four.

Reigning champions Pudsey BC remain well positioned within four points of the leaders, while Crosland Moor occupy fourth place and are well in contention going into the second half of the season.

With home fixtures balancing out across the schedule, the margin for error at the top is minimal.

Two Close to Call: Division Two Race Intensifies at the Halfway Mark

The battle for promotion in Division Two has tightened significantly, with just eight points separating league leaders Dodworth MW from sixth-placed Crosland Moor B.

Dodworth currently head the table on 63 points and remain strong favourites to secure a return to the top flight. However, they face stiff competition from a resurgent chasing pack.

Crossgates B (2nd, 61 pts): Positioned just two points off the top, their squad has been bolstered this season by a handful of A-team players, making them formidable contenders.

Eccleshill (3rd, 60 pts) & Morton House (4th, 60 pts): Both sit level, well within striking distance. Morton House are former Division One champions who have endured a period of decline and rebuilding - a return to the top flight would represent a significant resurgence.

Shipley (5th, 59 pts): Looming just four points off the lead, Shipley have historically come close to top-flight promotion without ever securing it, and will look to a strong second half to break that cycle.

With six teams firmly in the hunt, the second half of the season promises a highly competitive run-in.

Advantage Lower Hopton B as Division Three Promotion Race Tightens

Lower Hopton B have established a four-point lead at the top of Division Three, sitting on 67 points as the season progresses. Their nearest challengers are local rivals Spen Victoria on 63 points, adding an extra layer of rivalry to the race for the automatic promotion spots.

Behind the top two, Division Two transitions into a tightly packed chasing group where a single match could alter the standings completely:

Ossett Flying Horse (3rd, 61 pts): Sitting just two points behind Spen Victoria, they remain firmly in the mix.

Alverthorpe (4th, 60 pts) & Cleckheaton Sports (5th, 60 pts): Both clubs sit level, a mere seven points adrift of the league leaders.

This division features several clubs with rich histories and past successes - this isn't too far from what Division One looked like in the late 90's and early 00's, not just by the names of clubs but also playing personnel!

Local bragging rights are heavily at stake alongside the promotion places as these historic clubs push for promotion.

With multiple teams within striking distance, the second half of the campaign is well set for further twists and turns.
