Some of you may have heard already, but our Emma is leaving her role here.
She's been a part of the Sport centre for 8 years, a constant through the changes and covid - and a regular smile behind the desk for lots of you customers.
Please wish her well for her last few shifts 🙂 although we are sure you'll see her around!

Subject: Temporary Closure of West Somerset College Sports Leisure Centre Due to Red Heat Alert

Dear Members and Visitors,
We are writing to inform you that, due to the current Red Heat Alert issued by the relevant authorities and in the interest of protecting the health and safety of our customers, staff, and contractors, West Somerset College Sports Leisure Centre will be temporarily closed on Wednesday 24th June and Thursday 25th June 2026.
The extreme temperatures forecast during this period present increased health risks, particularly for vulnerable individuals and those engaging in physical activity. After careful consideration, we have taken the decision to suspend all activities and services at the centre until conditions improve.
Where possible, affected bookings will be refunded, credited, or rescheduled. Our team will contact customers directly regarding any pre-booked activities.
We will continue to monitor weather conditions and follow guidance from public health authorities. Updates regarding reopening will be shared, social media channels, and email communications.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we prioritise the wellbeing of everyone who uses our facilities.

Due to unforeseen circumstances the sports centre will be closed today 04/06 from 1pm for the whole afternoon/evening and will reopen tomorrow 05/06 at 7am.
