Founded in 1882, we are one of the oldest links courses in the South West of England. In the clubhouse you'll find our bar and restaurant serving homemade meals. We also host many social events throughout the year. We also have a very well stocked pro shop offering a fantastic selection of new and used equipment. Congratulations to Annette and Richard O’Hare winning the 2026 Skylark Trophy with an excellent 45 points in the Greensomes format.

Runners up were Jayne Fulwell and George Hampshire on 42 points, 3rd was Cath Binding and Luke Taylor on 41 points.

Congratulations to Malcolm and Lesley Pateman from Brampton Heath Golf Centre in Northampton, making the most of their holiday visit to the area, scoring a wonderful 48 points to claim the inaugural South West Family 4 Ball.

They edged their playing partners David Harries and his grandson Oscar Corfield (Burnham & Berrow GC) into 2nd place with a fine 43 pts. 3rd were husband and wife pair RIchard and Christina Binding (Minehead and West Somerset GC) with 42pts.

We look forward to growing this into a huge event in the future and thank everyone that entered and supported the first playing of this event. Keep your eyes peeled for next years event!

Good Luck to our teams (A / B & Juniors) who compete against our neighbouring clubs, Enmore Park and Tiverton in the annual MET Shield event today. Thank you to everyone that supported our Annual Arnold Palmer Charity Day yesterday. Thanks to the competitors, our hole sponsors Jewson, The Windmill Inn, Glenmore Bakery, Brian Watson, our prize donors including Golflog and their suppliers Nd Albie Sefton and Neil Megarry as our prize donors. Everyone that donated raffle, to those who who generously bid on the auction items and our Members entered our golden ticket draw. A huge thank you to all of our hardworking Team at Minehead & West Somerset Golf Club and the huge team of our amazing volunteers and Jon Pattison who kept is entertained throughout the day.

It was an amazing day with a fabulous atmosphere, not dampened by a little rain alter in the day.

Initial counts suggest we have raised well in excess of £8,000 during to day to add to our other fundraising through the year for the Club Charity of the Year, the South Western Ambulance Charity. This moves us close to or even over the £10k target for the year with another 6 months of fundraising events to go.

We are very grateful to everyone’s generosity.

Congratulations to Daniel Kelly and Keegan Jones on winning the Arnold Palmer Shield 🏆with a fantastic 50pts, to Nancy Marshall and Suzanne Ward for winning the Ladies Bowl 🏆and to our very own Ladies Captain, Jenny Elliott and her son Tim for winning the Mixed Trophy 🏆 and Dan and Charlie Ross for winning the Non WHS player prize.

Not meant to be for our Scratch Squad in the Pickeridge Bowl Final. In awful conditions Worlebury claimed the silverware with a 3 1/2 to 1 1/2 victory at Burnham & Berrow Golf Club with many closely fought matches. We are proud of the team and what they have achieved this year.

Congratulations to everyone that played in the team and a special thanks to team captain Simon Rudd for masterminding the campaign and his hard work in organising the fixtures and teams. We appreciate your hard work Simon.

Thank you to all the caddies and supporters that took to time to cone up and support the team and to Burnham & Berrow for hosting the final.

Wishing our Scratch squad the very best of luck and good golf in today’s Somerset Golf Union Pickeridge Bowl Final at Burnham and Berrow Golf Club from 3.30pm today.

Our Team of Archie Walsh, Will Paton, George Hampshire, James Barton and Matt Larvin will do their best to bring home this trophy to Somerset’s Oldest Links when the compete against Worlebury Golf Club.
