The Glos Northern Senior League AGM on Tuesday evening officially confirmed our promotion and return for the 2026/27 Season after a 25 year absence!

Minchinhampton Football Club Team Managers for the 2026/27 Season

Martyn Lowe will continue as the First Team Manager guiding the side as they head back into the Glos Northern Senior League.

Phil Ruthers takes up the helm as Reserve Team Manager who will compete in the Stroud & District Football League Division 3(S)

Dan Matthews takes on the newly formed Third Team Managers role who will compete in the Stroud & District Football League Division 5(S).

Three solid appointments 👍

We are actively seeking to add to each of the team management groups so if you are interested please reach out and get in touch.

Pre-Season training began this week and we continue every Monday and Thursday evening with sessions starting at 7pm at the Stuart Playing Field in Minchinhampton (main home ground).

Minchinhampton Football Club are looking for pre-season friendlies during July and August.

Predominantly for the Reserves (S&DFL Division 3) and newly formed Third Team (S&DFL Division 5).

Potentially one or two more for the Firsts (GNSL Division 2).

Would not be able to host but happy to share costs if you can host or at a neutral venue.

Prior to the Stroud League formalising the constitution of the Divisions at the AGM next week. We are delighted to announce the introduction of a THIRD TEAM to play in SDFL in the forthcoming 2026/27 season having secured the hire of the pitch at Nympsfield.

Likely to start in the lower echelons, we hope to provide a both a pathway for young men leaving youth football and extend the careers of a few experienced heads. Great News for a Club on the Up. Come check us out. COYM! ❤️🖤❤️

GLOUCESTERSHIRE NORTHERN SENIOR LEAGUE RETURN

Minchinhampton Football Club are delighted to have been offered a route back into the GNSL for the forthcoming 2026/27 Season.

After several withdrawals from the GNSL during the last season and no teams dropping down from the pyramid a number of casual vacancies had arisen.

Having always applied to ensure the club’s facilities are up to standard we were well placed off the field and with a strong season on the pitch we were offered the chance to step up which we have grabbed with both hands.

We’d like to thank both the Gloucestershire Northern Senior League and the Stroud & District Football League for their support in this process.

With the upcoming season marking Minchinhampton Football Club’s 125 year in existence this promotion provides the perfect start to the club’s celebrations.

If you’d like to be involved either on or off the pitch we’d be delighted to hear from you, as we look to strengthen the club across all aspects.
