🏸 MK Badminton Stars Shine on the International Stage! 🌟

There was plenty to celebrate this weekend as players and alumni from Milton Keynes Badminton Academy enjoyed outstanding success at tournaments across Europe. 👏

🏆 MKBA alumni Callum Hemming and Estelle Van Leeuwen were crowned Mixed Doubles champions at the Denmark Challenge.

🥇 Andrea Au Young produced a superb performance at the U11 Gold Tournament, taking home titles in both Singles and Doubles.

🇨🇿 At the Czech International, Sragvi claimed the Singles title in an all-MKBA final against Emily Yu, who secured Silver in Singles before going on to win both Doubles and Mixed Doubles titles.

The remarkable results are a testament to the dedication, discipline and hard work shown by MKBA players day in and day out through team sessions, strength and conditioning work, and weekend training.

👏 A huge congratulations also goes to the coaching team whose guidance continues to help develop some of the region’s brightest badminton talent.

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate a huge weekend of success for MKBA players and alumni on the international stage.

MKBA alumni Callum Hemming and Estelle Van Leeuwen claimed the Mixed Doubles title at the Denmark Challenge.

Andrea Au Young delivered a fantastic performance at the U11 Gold Tournament, winning both Singles and Doubles.

At the Czech International, Sragvi took the Singles title in an all MKBA final against Emily Yu, who secured Silver in Singles and went on to win both Doubles and Mixed Doubles.

This is a reflection of the consistency, discipline, and hard work our players are putting in every day from team sessions to physical conditioning and weekend training.

What a weekend for MKBA ! Our players were far and away on York, Lancashire and Nottingham this weekend.

Sragvi singles gold medal 🥇 singles
Emily double gold mixed and doubles 🥇
Emily silver in singles ( yes back to back all MKBA finals ) 🥈
Neil won silver in doubles 🥈
Bronze for Jacob in doubles 🥉

Jasmine also has a big day today at her first cheerleading competition but she wants you to know that she is cheering for you as well. 4 years since her last photo together with you when you held her as a baby after winning your U17 Singles National title a year young. What a special moment for Emily Yu , 12 out of 12 wins yesterday meaning she dominated the u13 gold in Kent this weekend!! TRIPLE 🥇 🥇 🥇 GOLD !!
Hard work off and on court and a training focus means we have been able to make the step forward we were aiming to make. Sunday is a well deserved rest day , see you Monday for more hard work 💪💪💪🤛🏻🤛🏻🤛🏻
