🚨 Milton Keynes parkrun needs you! 🚨

We’re looking for a few more volunteers to help make this Saturday’s event happen safely and smoothly.

📋 Roles available:

⏱️ 3 × Timekeepers
🎟️ 1 × Finish Token Support
🚧 1 × Funnel Manager
📍 3 × Marshals:
• 02 – Camphill Turn
• 03 – Bottom of the Zig Zags
• 05 – Bottom of the Peace Pagoda

No experience is needed for any of these roles – full training and support will be provided. 😁

👟 Guide Runners Welcome
We’re also keen to hear from anyone interested in becoming a guide runner to support a visually impaired runner at Milton Keynes parkrun.

So, if you can volunteer this Saturday to complete our roster please email us at [email protected].

A rather damp parkrun this morning with the rain which I am sure was a welcome sight for many a people! Well done to the 709 finishers today , you all did amazing. It really does take a village when it comes to putting this event on a weekly basis so a massive thank you to all the superstar volunteers today too. If you are able to volunteer over the next few weeks then please do get in touch so we can add on to the roster. A video for you all from the briefing which does feature a tribute to Dolly off course ☺️. Have a fabulous and wonderful weekend ahead of yourselves too ☺️☺️!

Today was our special 777th event, a number that holds extra significance for many parkrunners as part of the unofficial Nelson Challenge.👍😊💕

👏 A huge thank you to our 46 volunteers, including Dave Jones, who celebrated an incredible 100 volunteer credits today.

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ We welcomed 792 participants, including 35 first-timers. A special mention goes to Lewis Andrews, who not only completed his first-ever parkrun but was also our first finisher! We were also delighted to host 92 tourists from across the UK and as far afield as Germany.

🎉 Congratulations to everyone celebrating milestones:
• 5 × 25 parkruns
• 1 × 50 parkruns
• 5 × 100 parkruns
• 1 × 250 parkruns – achieved by Paul Beadle on his very first visit to Milton Keynes parkrun!

Thank you to everyone who walked, jogged, ran, volunteered, cheered and supported. Whether you came for the Nelson Challenge, a milestone, a PB, or simply your Saturday morning parkrun fix, we hope you had a fantastic morning.

It was a hot and sunny parkrun in MK today! We had so many fabulous volunteers including 3 generations of one family who were barcode scanning and Ben who was a first time participant last week and then a first time volunteer today! Well done Ben! 👏 🦺

We had 3 milestones to celebrate today.
Firstly, we had Brendon who celebrated his 25th today, Sam celebrated his 100th and Nigel who celebrated his 250th today.

It was a lovely atmosphere and we got to go to the new cafe afterwards too!

Keep cool everyone - next week is set to ne hot, hot, HOT once again!! 😎

Today at this mornings parkrun we had 743 participants, well done to each and every one of you! A big welcome to all the tourists and first timers as well, hope you enjoyed the event and will be back in the future as well. As always a big thank you to all the volunteers this morning , we appreciate you all so much you fabulous hi-viz heroes! Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend as well ☺️☺️.

Our usual coffee haunt reopens a week tomorrow 🙌

Exciting news! 🚨

A brand-new chapter begins at Willen Lake Café as Drift Bar & Kitchen officially opens on Saturday 25 July! 🎉

Drift Bar & Kitchen will be serving freshly prepared breakfasts, lunches and evening meals, quality coffee from local specialists Doe & Fawn Coffee Roasters, and drinks – all in a beautiful lakeside setting.

Open daily from 8am–9pm, it's the perfect place to catch up over coffee, enjoy a leisurely lunch or unwind with an evening drink by the water.

This is just the beginning, with exciting plans already in place for a refurbishment and even more to come in 2027.

Today we had 563 participants at Milton Keynes parkrun , well done to each and every one of you! Well done to all the milestones completed including 1 completing their 500th-well done and wow!! Thank you to all the fantastic volunteers as well today , you are all superstars and we couldn’t run this without you! Have a wonderful rest of your Saturday and enjoy the rest of your weekend too ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️

Today at this morning’s parkrun we had 623 participants taking part in the rather hot event this morning, well done to each and every one of you! Make sure you are well hydrated and have cooled down as well. A big thank you to all the volunteers today, as always we couldn’t run this event without you so another big thank you.
