Warriors Start With a Statement‼️⭐️
Sunday saw us face unbeaten Buckingham soldiers , the side who pipped us to the league title by just four points last season. Both teams have now been promoted to the Prem, and just like last campaign, we faced each other in the opening game. The Grid started brilliantly on the front foot, immediately putting the travelling side under pressure.
Tee tested the keeper early with an effort from the edge of the box, and with us dominating possession, we created a couple more clear-cut chances that could have seen us ahead & early doors. Just before the break, Rida sent Kross through, who calmly finished to make it 1-0.
We continued in the same fashion after the restart, not giving Buckingham much opportunity to play or create. The visitors did hit the bar with a fantastic strike from outside the box on the counter, which could have brought them level and possible turned the game.
The Warriors made a couple of changes to bring on fresh legs, and Bella then doubled our lead with a header from a Teeboy flick on. With not much for our keeper to do at 2-0 he made a fine one on one save when called to action. A dominant performance, everyone with 10/10 performance a clean sheet and a fantastic start to life in the Prem. 💪
⭐️ Man of the Match: The Italian man, Gian, for the second week running. Another top class performance in the centre of the park.
