MK Youth Korfball Trust runs korfball sessions in Milton Keynes for children and young people and other events such as school tournaments to promote the development of korfball. The Milton Keynes Youth Korfball Trust (MKYKT) runs events, competitions and raffles to raise money to support the development of korfball in the Borough of Milton Keynes for children and young people aged 20 or under. On

a quarterly basis we award funds, upon request, to deserving groups and individuals to support the development of youth korfball. MKYKT considers requests to support:
> talented young players attend regional and national training and tournaments
> youth team coaches to gain coaching and leadership qualifications that will benefit their teams
> youth team coaches to participate in first aid and child protection training
> players aged 13 to 20 to gain coaching and leadership qualifications in korfball, including first aid
> teachers to gain coaching qualifications in korfball
> school and community teams travel costs to attend tournaments
> school and community teams to purchase equipment and playing kit
> school and community teams in raising their profile and recruiting players

In most instances we will not provide more than 50% of the costs of a 'project' but as we are committed to the development of youth korfball we will consider requests for up to 100% of the costs of certain deserving requests.

NEW SHORT-NOTICE SPORTS OPPORTUNITY FOR AGE 9-11! 😀

We’re looking to get a group together from school years 5-6 to learn quickly over the next few Mondays and play in our tournament on Sun 5th July!

If you’ve got an interested potential player (they don’t need to have played before, and everyone will get to be a part of the team and play) or even a group of friends or group from another sport, get in touch as soon as possible!

Boys and girls play in the same team!

As you may know, we are hosting the England Korfball National Youth Day here in for the first time ever this year 😀 Sunday 5th July at Milton Keynes Rugby Club in Emerson Valley.
The official invite for teams has now been sent out, so if you’re a club or a school (even one that hasn’t played much) that is interested in entering, and hasn’t received it, just get in touch and we can send it over ✉️. There are U9, U11, U13 and U15 age groups! Happy to answer any questions 😊

We had a fantastic MK Primary Schools tournament yesterday 😀 with 9 teams representing Two Mile Ash, Summerfield, Whitehouse, Great Linford, Oakgrove, Brooklands Farm, Christ the Sower and a team from our club sessions. Lots of great play, and some of the children had never played korfball before the day so picked up the rules really quickly! Congratulations to the winners Two Mile Ash 🏆

Hi all, if any new kids want to come to the Newport Pagnell session TONIGHT (19th May) but have found the Swans form and found it saying the session is full, we DO have a few spaces so do come along and give details to our coaches (child’s name, age, emergency contact number) or message us in advance if you prefer, and we’ll get the info onto the Swans system later!

We know there may be kids interested who played at yesterday’s schools tournament or have seen other adverts, and don’t want them to miss out on the !

We’re putting together a group to learn the sport and form an U13 team for our National Youth Day tournament in MK on 5th July 👍 Boys and girls of all abilities welcome, everyone who wants to will get to play in the tournament, free tasters available, contact us to book or for more info!

New kids sport! We have a few more totally FREE Newport Pagnell Tuesday korfball sessions for kids age 6-8 and 9-11, in conjunction with The Swans Community Partnership. Free until 9th June!

Make friends, Learn new skills, keep active, fun ball sport!

Suitable for boys and girls, all abilities welcome, they don't need to have played before.

We are hoping to continue the Tuesdays as an new additional club training session after these free sessions finish, and also start Newport Pagnell teams to play matches.
