Team Wychwood Chatsworth Country Fair 👀

We’re excited to announce that Team Wychwood will be attending The Angling Village at the Chatsworth Country Fair from Friday 4th – Sunday 6th September.

Come and see us at the fair from tomorrow, where you’ll find a range of our gear on display — and even try your hand at casting our rods on the casting pool.

Our very own Simon Blatch and Mark Osborn are off to a flying start at the annual Catfishing Against Cancer charity event at Orchard Place Fishery. Over 100lb in cats already landed on the first day and Carp to 25lb! Fingers crossed they can keep this going through weekend!

Sometimes, smaller really is better. 👌

Scale things down this weekend and hit your local canals and rivers for some seriously good fun.

In this case, a 0.8–10.5g Z Series spinning rod with a solid spliced tip was perfect for those delicate bites when the fish are being fussy—or when they’ve simply got eyes bigger than their bellies!

A 1.5g tungsten jig head paired with a small artificial bait was all it took to tempt the smaller fish, and you'll still catch the bigger ones that are just looking for a snack. 🎣

So, why not scale things down this weekend and see what you can find?
