Deadlift Elite instructional video 👍

Precor Deadlift Elite installed yesterday. Variety of exercise possibilities with this bit of kit. Bulgarian split squats, deadlifts, shrugs, RDL’s, rows etc. YouTube video attached below to show a few ideas. Boss man has never used one before so he’ll be learning himself! Some new bits on the way…

The Jordan hip thrust bench (soft bench) will be a handy tool and should arrive later this week.

The Precor Deadlift Elite will take a bit longer (late February prediction) and will make a variety of exercises more accessible, (and less scary) for some.

Much like our plate loaded squat machine can be easier to use for some people compared to a free weight (barbell) squat, the deadlift elite should open up new movements to those who are not a fan of barbell movements.

We’re looking forward to installing this new piece of kit soon 💪

Tomorrow is the real “New Year” in the Gym World.

Q: Is it going to be busy?
A: Yes, probably busier than usual. Standard January in all Gyms.

Q: Is moaning about it being busy going to make it less busy?
A: No. And it’s pretty annoying to listen to.

Q: What can i do to help it?
A: Save phone scrolling for home. Be mindful that someone else is probably waiting for the machine you are on, so move on as soon as you can. Be flexible with your exercise order/choices…have plan B ready in mind.

We will do our best to keep the space as clear as possible but please be patient with fellow members. We are all just trying to get our workout done ✅

We are pretty confident things will be busiest 5:30pm-7:30pm Monday/Tuesday/Wed…but all hours will be somewhat busier.

We are open 17 hours a day so plenty of hours of the day to choose from where it is likely to be quieter 👍

All other days surrounding the Christmas period are normal opening hours 💪

📸 We see everyone who comes and goes.

If you bring someone in the Gym who isn’t a member I will be flagging it with you when I see you. It isn’t cool with us at all.

They are not insured to be in our building / use our equipment and we see it as disrespectful to us and our business.

We get a screenshot every time someone enters (as you can see from the image example of the entrance camera) so we always know who has come in with you 👍

❤️ ⚡️Our new Zoll AED Plus defibrillator ⚡️❤️

Thank you to South Northants Responders and our local responder (and member) the wonderful Anne for helping us source this fantastic unit AND for looking after it for us by giving the machine monthly health checks 🩺

Obviously we hope it will never be needed…but knowing we have such a machine in case of an emergency is amazing 🙌

The unit TALKS (so cool) any user through the steps on how to use it, so it is not limited to staff use…it can be operated by literally anyone and will be on the gym floor at all times 👍

Sadly we can’t attach the electrical pads to ourselves to get a few more repetitions or run for longer…we did ask…but apparently it doesn’t work that way…and I was silly for asking 🤷🏻‍♂️😂😂

Let’s hope you’ll never need it ✌️

Scrollers! 📲 We can all get into a bit of doom scrolling.
Please be aware in a Gym environment, when people are often pushed for time, that excessive time on equipment (strength & conditioning mostly) can be very frustrating. Please be aware of this and if someone asks you “how many sets you got left mate” this really is code for “you’re taking too long and I’m about to whip you in the face with my towel”. Of course don’t feel rushed if you are taking appropriate rest…but if you’re just messing about on your phone, save it for home. Thanks 🤩 👍 📱

We all know January is overly busy in gyms…but November and December generally go a bit quiet. Why not re establish some goals and take advantage of a quiet space 🤷🏻‍♂️
