More relaxed session tonight with the u9’s getting the lads to focus on efforts on goal and recognising when to take chances in a fast flowing game environment.
Starting off with a quick half volley elimination game to get them keen for goals. Ollie P was our winner in that🏆
We then moved onto the main session, using the mini bazooka nets for one team and the full sized goals for the other i asked them to try to recognise the type of finish needed in each goal. Working on placed, precise finishing in the small goals and then seeing if they could use the same precision to bend or strike the ball clean into the larger goals, prioritising the corners where possible.
Some great finishes on display and some…well ones ….we wont speak about them🫣
Nice session to finish on before the easter break🐣
POTW for the session was Parker& Leo who both showed me aggression in the press to win the ball back and then really tried to show their efforts to create chances and openings and find the net.
DONKEY of the session (a new one of its kind award authorised by his dad) was Arlo for showing us some fine attempts of how to try and score with an imaginary blindfold on 🤣
