⛳ Queens Park Mixed Open – Results

A brilliant day for the Queens Park Mixed Open, with a strong field of 46 competitors and incredibly tight scoring across the board.

🏆 Winners
A superb net 67 secured victory for Alan Finlayson(former Club Champion) and Nettie Farquharson, who claimed her first Queens Park win after 40 years of trying. A Millport Golf Club legend and honorary life member.

📜 A bit of history
The Queens Park Trophy was gifted to Millport Golf Club in 1985 by Queen's Park Football Club, who were regular visitors to the island.
Millport GC has a strict “no football colours” dress code, but on Queens Park day, there’s one exception: football colours are allowed… as long as they’re Queens Park!

Did you know you can become a social member for just £1 for the year and enjoy the bar and restaurant at the golf club?… for those coming to Millport this weekend, our catering team at The Clubhouse can look after you if you need to book in for food over the weekend!

Aside from greeting our visiting golfers first thing, the bar & restaurant will be open from 12pm - 9pm tomorrow!

Our Kids Eat Free offer is available all day and you can ask at the bar about joining the club as a social member for just £1!
(In case you didn’t know you didn’t need to be a golfer to come up!)

We’re at the end of Golf Road and we have plenty of space to welcome large groups for lunch or dinner over the Country & Western Weekend which we know will be a busy one down in the town!

Yesterday saw the playing of the Ferdi Righetti Senior Open in excellent weather conditions.
The competitors complimented the presentation of the course by Wm David Patrick and his team. The winner from Beith Golf Club with a great score of 40 points was James Ward. Joint 2nd place went to Andrew Scobbie (Dullatur GC) and Millport member Gregor Mathers.
Excellent service was provided by Katie O'Connor and The Clubhouse team. A great day out was enjoyed by all.
The club wishes to thank Alan Finlayson and Nettie Farquharson for running yesterday's tournament.

A fantastic day at the club for our RNLI Charity Texas Scramble, with members and guests helping raise over £500 for the RNLI.

Well played to Fraser and Mark McArthur, with a superb 66 to take the win.
