Joe Burgess is a former Peterborough United and Fleetwood Town academy product before plying his trade in the non-league pyramid with Ilkeston, Histon, Boston United, Stamford and Corby.

The 30 year-old defender spoke about signing for the club: โ€œThe decision was really easy to join; Iโ€™ve known Graham a while and I know how he works.โ€

โ€œIโ€™m looking forward to the season starting, playing as many games as I can and hopefully take the club back into National League North.โ€

Michael Richens joins the Turbines from St Ives Town where he netted 17 goals last season from midfield.

Richens was a former Peterborough United academy player who spent time on loan at a host of non-league clubs including Histon, Nuneaton and Whitehawk.

The midfielder later captained Kettering Town in 2017 when they won promotion to step 2, making over 80 appearances for the club before joining St Ives in 2021.

Richens said: โ€œItโ€™s a great club and I canโ€™t wait to push on and get us back to the National League North.โ€

Jack Duffy also follows Finn Oโ€™Boyle in signing for Peterborough Sports following a spell at Quorn FC.

Duffy netted four times in 12 matches last season having also represented the Methodistsโ€™ in 2020/21.

The striker has played under Graham Drury before and identifies this as a key factor to his move: โ€œIt was a straightforward decision to come to Peterborough Sports; Iโ€™ve got a good relationship with Graham.โ€

โ€œIโ€™m yet to hit the 20 mark; Iโ€™ve fell short in terms of goals over the past couple of years. The closest Iโ€™ve managed is 18.โ€

โ€œThe aim is obviously to get the club to where it was last year; thatโ€™s the main goal for everyone and itโ€™s certainly within our reach.โ€

Finn Oโ€™Boyle joins Graham Druryโ€™s side following a season at Quorn FC where the 21 year-old won the Young Player of the Season award.

The forward was a former Harrogate Town and Wigan Athletic youth player with loans to Gloucester, Sheffield FC and Farsley Celtic before joining Quorn permanently last season.

Oโ€™Boyle reflects on signing for Peterborough Sports: โ€œI only needed a brief conversation with Graham to know this is where I wanted to play football next season.โ€

โ€œI like scoring and setting up goals so to be able to replicate the numbers I did last year at this level now would be great, and obviously as a team to push back into National League North.โ€

Harvey Williams signs for The Turbines having most recently played for Hemel Hempstead.

The 22 year-old winger has also played for Kempston Rovers and St Neots Town.

Williams spoke about the move: โ€œDiscussions with Graham went well and Iโ€™m just keen to get started at the club; Iโ€™m looking forward to working hard, having fun and showing the fans what football in the city is all about.โ€

โœ๏ธPeterborough Sports are delighted to announce the signing of experienced centre-back Carl Mensah ahead of the new season.

The 30-year-old defender joins the Turbines after most recently featuring for Kettering Town and also enjoyed successful spells with Bedford Town, where he made over 100 appearances.
