🚨 IMPORTANT CLUB UPDATE – ALL FOOTBALL ACTIVITIES POSTPONED 🚨

Following the Red Weather Warning for Extreme Heat issued across our area for Today and Tomorrow, Milford on Sea Youth FC has taken the decision to postpone all football activities during this period.
The safety and wellbeing of our players, coaches, volunteers and families will always come first.

The FA's current guidance states:
"The FA advises grassroots clubs to cancel vigorous outdoor activities or matches for children when temperatures exceed 30°C."
With forecast temperatures expected to reach and exceed these levels, we believe postponement is the responsible course of action.

We understand many players will be disappointed, but safeguarding our football community must remain our priority.

Team managers will communicate any revised training arrangements directly with their squads.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

🌞 Please stay safe during the hot weather, keep hydrated, avoid unnecessary time in direct sunlight, wear suitable sun protection and check in on family, friends and neighbours who may be affected by the extreme temperatures.

Today we celebrate all the dads, stepdads, grandads and father figures who are part of our football family.

Whether you're coaching from the sidelines, running a training session, volunteering behind the scenes, driving to away games, washing muddy kits or cheering from the touchline, your dedication helps make our club what it is.

Many of our dads wear multiple hats – parent, coach, mentor, volunteer and role model. Your time, commitment and support inspire our young players every week.

🏆⚽ BRANSGORE TOURNAMENT SUCCESS! ⚽🏆

What a fantastic day for Milford on Sea Youth FC at the Bransgore Tournament!
A huge congratulations to our U9s, who continued their incredible start to the summer by being crowned Plate Winners. 🥇🏆

This victory marks their third tournament win already, a fantastic achievement that reflects the hard work, commitment and teamwork shown by every player throughout the season.

👏 A special mention must also go to our U7s, who represented the club brilliantly, played with great spirit and sportsmanship, and created some fantastic memories along the way.

Seeing both teams enjoying their football, supporting one another and proudly representing Milford is exactly what grassroots football is all about.

🟦⚽ FROM MILFORD TO THE PROFESSIONAL GAME – COULD YOU BE NEXT? ⚽🟦

Many of you will recognise Lewis, whose refereeing journey started refereeing fixtures at Barnes Lane.
Like many young players, Lewis loved the game and wanted to stay involved. While continuing to play football, he began refereeing local matches, gaining valuable experience, building confidence and earning some extra pocket money along the way.

Year after year, Lewis continued to develop his skills, take on new challenges and progress through the refereeing pathway. Today, he is officiating at a very high level and is a fantastic example of what can be achieved through hard work, commitment and a love of football.

Now, we want to help create the next generation of local referees.

Whether you're:
⚽ A young player aged 14+ looking to get involved in a different side of the game
⚽ A parent who wants to support grassroots football
⚽ A former player looking to stay involved
⚽ Or simply someone who loves football and wants a new challenge.

Milford on Sea Youth FC wants to support you on your journey. While there are course fees involved in becoming a referee, we are committed to working with individuals and families to explore supportive ways of helping new referees get started and develop within the game.

As our club continues to grow, we're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team and help shape the future of grassroots football in our community.

We currently have several exciting opportunities available:

🏠 Clubhouse Manager
Help oversee the day-to-day running of our clubhouse, ensuring it remains a welcoming, safe and enjoyable environment for players, families and visitors.

🍔 Kitchen & Refreshments Coordinator
Manage and develop our matchday refreshments offering, support club events and help generate valuable income for the club through new ideas and initiatives.

👕 Kit Coordinator
Take responsibility for organising and managing team kit and equipment, helping ensure our players and coaches always have what they need.

🤝 Sponsorship Coordinator
Build relationships with local businesses, identify sponsorship opportunities and help secure investment that supports the continued growth of our club.

Each of these roles plays a vital part in ensuring Milford on Sea Youth FC continues to provide the best possible experience for our players, coaches and families.

You don't need previous experience, just enthusiasm, reliability and a desire to make a difference. Roles will be subjected to relevant safeguarding checks.
