A wonderful day of bowling with some very close matches. The overall winner of the Rosa Macklin Cup was Rob Perkins who had an excellent game with runner up Steve Pennington.

This competition christened the table made for trophy presentations by a much loved and respected member, the late Robert Wilcox - it’s a beautiful item and the bespoke feet ensure it won’t blow away in the wind or damage the green - a fitting memory. We look forward to using it for many seasons to come.

‘Solent Summer’

Blank greetings cards of the watercolour painting auctioned at the Cha Cha event will be on sale in the clubhouse from Wednesday 20th May.

The cards are £2 each, with the full amount going to the fundraising for the Clubhouse.

Please pay in cash in the box with the cards.

Thanks to East Dorset Indoor Bowls Club for the return friendly at Milford today. Great fun, lovely weather and a good result for us this time. Have a great season and we’re already looking forward to our friendly indoors next year.

The first full roll up of the season got underway yesterday in glorious sunshine. The green is in great condition so the protective mats were down purely as a precaution. Let’s hope the weather is kind to us this year!

What a beautiful transformation - The Cedar Tree Restaurant at South Lawn magically turned into a fabulous venue, complete with dance floor, for us to hold our Milford on Sea Goes Cha Cha Cha Crazy event last night. Then the magic was reversed so the Cedar Tree was back to being a tranquil setting for a gorgeous breakfast again this morning.

We can’t thank Nikki and Tim at South Lawn enough for everything they do - not just for our Club. But for the village too.
