Milford United Football Club is today mourning the loss of one of its own. This morning we received the very sad news that Richard Phillips, much better known as ‘Grunk’ had passed away. A regular at the Club for many years, he will sorely be missed.
To say that Grunk was a real character is understating his effect on us all. Not just at Marble Hall, but he was also a legend at both Steynton and Neyland football clubs.
He had a great work ethic and even though he was well past retirement age, he was actually due to attend work today.
He was a larger than life character, with an unmistakable and infectious laugh.
As a goalkeeper, he was known as one of the bravest keepers around. Not afraid to put his body on the line for his team. Even at the end of his footballing career his agility between the ‘sticks’ made him a great shot stopper too.
Grunk will be greatly missed by everyone at Milford United Football Club.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends and this very sad time.

❤️🤍 WHAT A NIGHT FOR OUR MILFORD UNITED MINIS! 🤍❤️

Tonight is a special one for some of our Milford United minis as they had the amazing opportunity to be mascots and flag bearers for Haverfordwest County A.F.C. as they welcomed Holywell FC.

For the youngsters, nights like this are about so much more than football. Getting to walk out alongside the players, stand pitchside as flag bearers and experience the atmosphere inside a senior football ground is something they’ll remember for a long time. ⚽️👏

There were plenty of big smiles, excitement and probably a few nerves along the way, but they represented Milford United brilliantly from start to finish. ❤️🤍

A massive thank you to Haverfordwest County for inviting our young players along and giving them the chance to experience a matchday from a completely different perspective.

It’s experiences like these that make being part of a football club so special. From the very first kick of a mini football to walking out in front of the crowd on a Friday night, it’s all part of their football journey. 🌟

🎯 SUMMER LEAGUE HOUSE CHAMPIONSHIP 🎯

Milford United Football Club are proud to host the Summer League House Championship tomorrow night!

Registrations for the Winter League will also be taken on the night. Please register as early as possible to allow the fixtures to be arranged and printed.

Club will be open from 19.00

⚽️ MINI FOOTBALL IS BACK! ⚽️

Yesterday marked the start of the new mini football season and what a brilliant way to kick things off!

Our Milford United Under 8’s White Team were at home as they welcomed Carew to Marble Hall. The smiles energy and excitement from all the children were brilliant to see!

Mini football is all about introducing children to the game and giving them the opportunity to learn, develop and most importantly, enjoy football. At this age, it isn’t about results or league tables. It’s about building confidence, making friends, learning to work as a team and creating a love for the game that we hope stays with them for many years to come.

Every match, every training session, every kick of the ball and even every muddy pair of boots is all part of the journey!

We would also like to say a massive thank you to HMBS Group for sponsoring our Under 8’s White Team away kit for a second year. Your continued support means so much to the team and the club, and we’re incredibly grateful to have you supporting our young Robins.

Here’s to another season of football, fun, friendships and plenty of memories!
