I am immensely proud of all the team today. Each of you battled hard, demonstrating both resilience and determination on the pitch. The way you played showcased some great football, especially in the first 20 minutes of the game. Your defensive efforts were great and I was particularly impressed by the good runs up the pitch that many of you made. The emphasis on passing and movement, paired with strategic positioning, truly set the tone for an exciting match.
Although the first half saw Kilgetty manage to score a few goals, it took them a while to break us down. This is a testament to your hard work and tenacity in defense. Layla was amazing in goal, with some some impressive and important saves. Aylah scored a lovely first goal for us after taking on almost every single Kilgetty player. As we moved into the second half, fatigue began to set in, and we struggled to maintain our focus. Kilgetty capitalized on this, scoring a few more goals. Aylah scored a few more cracking goals for us, with some great runs from numerous players on thw pitch. However, it's important to recognize that we can grow from this experience. By dedicating ourselves to training, working hard together, and fostering a culture of encouragement and communication on the pitch, I am confident that we will improve and become an even stronger team.
Once again, I am so proud of all of you. Each of you contributed to today's game in valuable ways, and I believe that with commitment and teamwork, we can achieve great things together. Keep your heads high, and let’s continue to push forward!
