Juniors (5-10 years old): 6pm-7pm
Juniors (11-16 years old) & Seniors: 7pm-8pm

The club is excited to announce the return of senior sessions starting off with the Saturday session.

The first session back will be this Saturday (24th July) between 5-7pm.

Please note that unfortunately there will be no Judo sessions this week due to coach holidays.

The club is excited to announce that junior sessions will be restarting in June.

On Thursday 17th June the following sessions will take place:

6-7pm - 5-10 year olds

7-8pm - 10+ year olds

The likely restart of senior sessions will be after the next lifting of restrictions by the government. This is to be confirmed at a later date.

Unfortunately due to the Somer Centre currently being used as a vaccination centre, the club will be unable to restart sessions until near the end of May.

When the clock strikes 11, we will remember them! Lest we forget

Following the UK Government’s proposal to introduce a four-week national lockdown, judo clubs and venues should prepare to close from this Thursday 5 November to Wednesday 2 December inclusive.

Please note, these lockdown measures are dependent upon a House of Commons vote this Wednesday 4 November and should it pass, judo clubs and venues are likely to be ordered to close from Thursday.

We will continue to seek advice from Sport England, DCMS and other partners, and will share further news on Wednesday with guidance on the actions clubs and venues should take.

The club are looking into reopening and starting up sessions again in line with the guidelines set out by the British Judo Association.

Following the latest Government Advice, British Judo have been liaising with Sport England and the DCMS and can confirm that as “organised sports and activities that have been through return to play protocols can continue, as can organised outdoor sports and physical activity events”, as such our BJA guidance has not changed.

As government advice evolves, we’ll monitor and update you accordingly.
