On Sunday, our ladies produced an outstanding all-round performance to secure a convincing victory over Taunton Deane.

Batting first, Midsomer Norton posted an impressive 176 runs from their 20 overs, setting a challenging target from the outset. The innings was anchored by a superb half-century from Kelsey, whose excellent 50 provided the platform for a strong team total. Support came throughout the batting order, with positive intent and smart running helping the side maintain momentum throughout the innings.

In reply, Taunton Deane were restricted to just 93 runs, thanks to a relentless bowling display from the Midsomer Norton attack. The bowlers maintained excellent line and length throughout, taking regular wickets and never allowing the opposition to build any meaningful partnerships.

The fielding effort matched the quality of the bowling, with sharp work in the field, good catching and energetic backing up ensuring pressure was applied from the first ball to the last.

It was a complete team performance, with brilliant batting, outstanding bowling and excellent fielding combining to deliver a well-deserved win. Every player contributed to a fantastic evening for Midsomer Norton Ladies as they secured victory by 83 runs💚🏏

The Somerset senior women have just returned from Norway after a four-night tour, based in Oslo, during which they played against the newly-formed Norwegian ‘Shining Aurora’ senior team.

This was the inaugural tour for the Somerset senior women, who themselves only formed a year ago, and it was a huge success by all standards.

During their stay, the Somerset team played three matches – a T16, a T20, and a 30-over game – all squeezed in amongst the showers, hail, and robust winds!

Super proud of MNCC’s very own who was part of Somerset ladies first ever overseas tour last month 💚
