Cowdray Park Polo Club The Home of British Polo and The British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup The aim of the Club is to foster and encourage the game of Polo.

Cowdray Park is recognised worldwide as the ‘Home of British Polo’ and is one of the busiest clubs in the world with over 450 matches played annually, the highlight of the season being the British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup. The British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup is the premier polo tournament in Europe at 22 goal (High Goal) level. With all the internatio

nal stars of the game in action in the incomparable setting of Cowdray Park’s stunning grounds, situated in the heart of the South Downs National Park, the tournament draws in polo aficionados from all over the world. The Club also runs all levels of polo from 4 to 22 goal throughout the season. The playing season runs from April to September with matches on most days.

Online bidding for our silent auction in support of Midhurst Palliative Care is now open 💛

We’re delighted to be supporting this fantastic cause at our End of Season Finale on Sunday 20th September.

Join us for a raffle, dog show, cake sale, food from the clubhouse and, of course, world-class polo, all while raising funds for Midhurst Palliative Care.

Online bidding is open until 1pm on Friday 18th September, or you can bid in person from 11am to 5pm on Sunday 20th September.

With stallion covers, unforgettable experiences and unique polo memorabilia, there’s plenty to discover.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a fantastic Bank Holiday weekend of polo 🐎

The weekend began with the Brecknock Cup Final, with Cuatro Estrellas securing a 6–3 victory over Book Vault. The Brecknock Cup was presented to Justin Taylor by Anthony Coupland, founder of yerba_spirit, who also kindly supplied the prizes.

The X-zony Best Playing Pony award went to Sal, played and owned by Glenn Sherriff.

The West Sussex Cup Final on Monday saw Mount Loftus defeat Cormix 6–5 in an exciting extra chukka victory. The West Sussex Cup was presented to Georgina Brittain by Mila Batchelor.

The X-Zony Best Playing Pony rug went to Candy, played and owned by Jonny Good.

If tomorrow is still free in your diary, join us at The Clubhouse for a relaxed Bank Holiday Lunch.

Pete and the catering team will be firing up the BBQ from 12pm, before Cormix vs Mount Loftus at 3pm for the West Sussex Cup Final, followed by the Sub Final at 4:30pm.

A perfect pairing of craftsmanship, precision and timeless design ✨

Bentley Surrey joined us for the 2026 St. Regis British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup, proudly showcasing a selection of their latest models at the Final against the backdrop of world-class polo.

We’re hugely grateful to Bentley Surrey for their presence, support and partnership throughout the season. Their stunning display was a highlight of the Final and a fitting addition to one of the most prestigious days in the polo Calendar.
