This week, we hosted a small group from the On Course Foundation. For the first time, our three Captain’s are supporting the same cause in the On Course Foundation, which supports the recovery of injured Service personnel via the sport of golf. This may be through organising events or offering employment opportunities in the industry.

The group of 10 arrived in the morning and following coffee and tea, they had the opportunity for a shortgame coaching clinic from PGA Professional Harry Smith followed by lunch. Afterwards, the group played a friendly match against some of our members, including Club Captain Simon Seymour, Ladies Captain Marilyn Davis and Seniors Captain Eric Morrish.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the first event of its kind here at Cowdray and there are already plans to replicate it in the near future.

PGA Trainee, Joseph Turner, will be running a festive Christmas Junior Golf Camp during the Christmas Holidays on Monday, 22nd December from 12pm to 3pm!

The cost will be £25pp and will cover a variety of activities with a Christmas theme for all abilities to take part in. Skills such as putting, chipping and pitching will be covered in a fun-filled session.

Clubs can be provided with no extra cost, alternatively please bring your own set if possible. This will be capped at 12 Juniors which will book up fast so please get in touch as soon as possible!

Cowdray is thrilled to announce that our Par 3 Course at Cowdray Golf Club has been named as a Finalist for ‘Short Course of the Year’ in the 2025 Golf Course Awards! ⛳️

This prestigious nomination celebrates the most forward-thinking short courses, and we couldn’t be prouder of our incredible team for their passion, dedication, and hard work in bringing our new Par 3 course to life last year.

Since opening, the course has been very well received by both members and visitors, and this award recognition highlights the positive impact it’s already had on the golfing community, not only here at Cowdray but also across the UK.

Now we look forward to the awards ceremony this December — wish us luck!
