Terrys Legend's Walking Football

Terrys Legend's Walking Football FA Licensed Coach, Terry Jepson is starting ' Walking Football' sessions in the Middleton Area. What is Walking Football? A slower version of the beautiful game.

You're never too old to get involved and no matter what your age, we're giving you the chance to play football! Walking football is targeted at over 50s specifically, but it doesn't matter if you are younger than this, everyone can attend the sessions. Walking football is exactly the same as mainstream football, however, there are a handful of differences:

No running allowed - anyone found runnin

g will concede a free-kick. Running is defined as neither foot being planted. In order for someone to be 'walking' at least one foot must be planted at all times. Non-contact - you cannot tackle another player, but you can intercept and block. Walking Football can be played indoors or outdoors, and the numbers per team at each session, is dependant on the number of participants! . If you have concerns about your medial health, please ensure you contact your doctor and seek advice, prior to participating.

šŸŽ‰ Happy 80th Birthday, Ed! šŸŽ‰

What an incredible milestone! Not only are we celebrating your 80th birthday today, but also your 10 years of playing with Terry’s Legends—and the team’s 10th anniversary too.

You’re one of the few long-serving players, and it’s truly a pleasure to share the pitch with you every single week. Your dedication, spirit, and love for the game inspire us all.

Here’s to many more years of football, laughter, and friendship together.

With love and respect,
Your family at Terry’s Legends ā¤ļø

A massive thank you to Geordie and his lovely Mrs for making the amazing celebration cakes for the 10-year anniversary of Terry’s Legends Football Club. šŸŽ‰āš½ļø

I couldn’t be prouder of you all. Some of you have been here since day one, others have joined along the way, but together we’ve built something truly special.

Carrying this on since losing my dad has meant the world to me. He started this club at 63 years old—it was always one of his dreams—and now here we are, playing twice a week and growing into a big family. ā¤ļø

I’ll always cherish these moments, and I’m so grateful to each and every one of you for keeping his dream alive.

Here’s to the next 10 years of Terry’s Legends! šŸ™Œ

Jimmy Johnson late from The Cage.
What a night of football! Between the sweltering heat, short tempers, and long arguments, you’d think we were filming a soap opera—EastEnd Ballers.

Vinny spent more time arguing with innocent little Ray than he did with the ball. Ray, bless him, looked like he was caught in a heated divorce he didn’t know he was part of. šŸ˜‚

Chezza, ever the motivational speaker, tried to inspire his team by reminding them they were, quote, ā€œabsolutely sh*t.ā€ Surprisingly, no one disagreed.

Meanwhile, the Italian Stallion was passionately debating… himself. I don’t know who won the argument, but he definitely lost possession. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

As for the game itself? Well, let’s just say the Reds turned it into a training session—won by about 6 goals, give or take a tantrum.

One possible turning point: Chezza taking a ball to the dome early on. After that, his passing was less ā€œtacticalā€ and more ā€œabstract art.ā€

Let’s all take our calm tablets before next week. Or better yet—let’s just hand them out at kickoff

Jimmy Johnson from the cage.
Great game tonight that reminded me of the Oldham game at the weekend we’re whites looked beaten only to pull of the miracle in the cage by scoring 2 goals in the dying minutes šŸ˜‚.
It takes 2 teams two have a great game and there was some outstanding performance by Alan , Loz,Martin in goals .Reds Mark and Craig but the outstanding player
was Eddie everywhere, utterly dependable, and occasionally heroic. His interceptions were so well‑timed they should probably count as time‑theft, and his tackles were ā€œferrousā€ enough to make the scrapyard jealous.

Gentlemen we served up a masterclass in drama, grit and borderline‑illegal cardio. Inspiration level: 11/10. Rest up—because with endings like that, the paramedics are next on the team sheet.
Well done everyone šŸ“󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁓ó æ

Thursday 11th

Jimmy Johnson emerged from the cage tonight, as the Reds triumphed in a thrilling game by four goals. The match unfolded seamlessly, with relentless action from one end to the other. Despite the Reds establishing an early advantage, the Whites clawed their way back, narrowing the deficit to just one goal at one point. However, in the dying moments, the Whites threw everything they had at the Reds, only for the latter to break away, sealing the victory with a spectacular strike from the flying Scotsman that left no doubt. Yet, reminiscent of 1966, if VAR had been in play, the goal would have been disallowed. (Can someone back me up on this, please LosšŸ“󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁓ó æ?) 8-8 encapsulated the intensity of the match. Explaining to others that you play in a cage half the size of a standard 5-a-side pitch often elicits incredulous looks, but every player knows the joy that comes from the challenge. Despite not being at our peak physically, our mental prowess and know how ensures an enjoyable game every Thursday. Well done everyone and great first game Terry. Looking forward to seeing everyone next week. And remember, let's show our support for Tuesday football it's just like Thursday.

9v6 to the reds
Another great game tonight and yet another injury this time to the flying Scotsman.
But the 6 players of the reds were still to good for the whites.
Man of the match Eddie was well backed up with Dave and Chris Jepo scoring some great goals and Oaul pulling of some great saves.
As for whites good to see Mark back and Vincent scoring some well needed goals.
But it was just reds night .
Well done everyone.
