Hi everyone,
I wanted to let you know that sadly our football classes will be coming to an end after more than 14 incredible years.
I had planned to finish at the end of the year to enable me to move into academy football coaching however have now accepted an opportunity with OAFC which I’m really looking forward too.
I want to say a massive thank you to every parent and every child who has supported us over the years. We’ve coached hundreds of children, run countless school holiday clubs, and created over 15 football teams for Miam Miam Celtic.
Whether your child has gone on to play academy football, continued their journey in grassroots football, moved on to a different sport, or simply learned enough to enjoy a kickabout with their mates or on holiday — I’m proud of every single one of them.
A huge thank you as well to MCFC, who have invited us to their coaching sessions year after year. Those opportunities have inspired so many of our young players and given them amazing memories !
I also want to acknowledge the people who have been part of this journey from the very beginning:
• Natalie, who has been with us since day one and coached our Little Goals classes
• Chris, who started helping out when he was still in high school and coached our 5-7yr olds
• Andy, who was with us for over 10 years before finishing last year and always stepped in when I needed a coach at the last minute !
• Paul Oakes , our Goal Keeper Coach in the early years and with us through the Soccer Camps for many years !
• And Terry Jepson, my father‑in‑law, who is sadly no longer with us but played such a big part in everything we built
Also a huge thank you to all our young sports leaders who have helped out over the years !
I’m genuinely sad to let go of this part of my life, but I’m also looking forward to the next chapter and the new challenges ahead.
I will still be very much involved with grass roots football and Miam Miam Celtic and look forward to seeing our newest U7s team start their first season together!
Thank you all so much for your trust, your support, and for allowing me to be a small part of your children’s footballing journey.
