Match Report:

On paper South Park should have had a nice run out with hardwick being 4 divisions below but football being football it was the complete opposite and turned out to be a frustrating morning for the lads. The effort from the lads who played should be applauded as they didn’t stop trying. Both keepers played a blinder with hardwick’s keeper being kept busy while Wallace kept his concentration and pulled off some brilliant saves when called upon. Game ended in a close defeat but as always a lot of things to learn from and definitely improve when we return to training in July 🔴🔵

🔴🔵 Our keeper left in the summer and Wallace was one of 2 who helped out with a week in and week out system and has done very well when in goal. He might be the year below the rest of the lads but this doesn’t stop Wallace running through players to win that ball back.

🔴🔵 COACHES PLAYER OF THE YEAR.
Me and Jack have picked this player as his efforts can go under the radar and might not be acknowledged when they should. He doesn’t stop trying for his mates regardless of how the game or training drill is going. Hes the one of the first ones at training helping set up and one of the last ones to leave dragging equipment with his team mates and coaches back to the containers. He wants to improve his own game as well as his team mates around him with encouraging instructions or feedback during training and matches. It could possibly be the first time he gets a well done but it’s definitely a big proud one from his coaches. Well done George 🔵🔴

🔴🔵 MERIT AWARD.
This players development story is very similar to last years winner Travis with the difference from the start of the year to the finish. After his first session this time last summer I wasn’t sure if he’d would be returning for next one as I was unsure if he enjoyed it after hurting himself. He dusted himself off and hasn’t missed a session since. His development has sky rocketed from his own hard work and taking on board what me and Jack have said. His confidence in himself has done a full 180 flip which is always great to see from a coaches point of view as he’s gone from a shy lad and hardly speaking in the first session to a confident important member of the crazy bunch which some very impressive performances over the year. Possibly the best award of the night as it means your effort in both games and training has been noticed by your teammates and this person definitely puts 100% effort consistently throughout this season and don’t think me or Jack have ever said pack it in or behave to this lad. He might of not been deemed good enough for game time at his old team which I think is mad but it’s also their loss and our gain aa we’ve got a great player and a good kid from it. 🔵🔴 TOP GOAL SCORER.

There’s goal scorers like haaland who’ll sit in the box and wait for a tap in to come along all season but that doesn’t happen on our team as this lad is better than that will do the dirty work like tracking back to help out when defending or pressing their goal keeper all game to force a mistake. He’ll run until he can’t run no more than when he’s coming off he’s already asking to go back on and run some more. He’s got a lot more assits this year but found him self on the end of some good play for his team mates or a self made goal like a long range freekick. Well done Josh who scored 17 goals in 18 games this year. 🔵🔴

🔵🔴 Yarni is the cheeky chappy of the team who will wear 4 layers of clothing in the summer for training because he’s cold but once on the pitch this season he’s been putting some very constantly top level performances and is also a great dancer!
