What a way to kick off our brand new Commercial Class! 🔥

Today was our very first class with the amazing Miss Ellie Wood and the girls absolutely smashed it! SO much energy to the room! 🙌🏻

We’re so excited to have Ellie joining the Stagestruck family and can’t wait to see where this new class takes our dancers!

After a lovely short summer break, we’re SO excited to welcome all of our fabulous dancers and their families back to Stagestruck Dance Academy!

Whether your child loves the elegance of ballet, the energy of tap, the freedom of modern or the excitement of musical theatre, we have classes to help them discover what they love. 💗

🩰 BALLET
Build beautiful technique, strength, flexibility, musicality and control, while developing the foundations that support so many other styles of dance.

👞 TAP
Rhythm, musicality, coordination and LOTS of fun! Tap is energetic, expressive and a brilliant way to develop a real sense of timing.

⚡ MODERN JAZZ
Big movements, strong technique and plenty of personality! Modern allows dancers to explore musicality, expression and performance while developing strength and control.

🎭 MUSICAL THEATRE
For our little performers who love to sing, dance and act! A fantastic way to build confidence, creativity and performance skills.

🤸🏻‍♀️ ACRO
Strength, flexibility, balance and control combined with the excitement of acrobatic tumbling. Perfect for children who love being upside down and thrive on challenging themselves!

🌙 LYRICAL
A beautiful combination of ballet, jazz and contemporary dance, lyrical focuses on emotion, expression and storytelling. Dancers learn to connect with the music and use their movement to tell a story and really feel the dance.

As our dancers get older, they can explore additional styles and opportunities, including competition, examinations, shows and performance opportunities.

Over the past week, we’ve shared the things that matter to us.

And when you put them all together, you get something that means so much more to us than simply teaching children to dance.

Because yes, we teach ballet, tap, modern, musical theatre, acro, lyrical and commercial but there’s so much more.

We teach technique.
We prepare for exams.
We rehearse for shows.
We train for competitions.

But we’re also watching children grow.

We’re watching confidence appear where there was once shyness.

We’re watching class friends turn into lifelong friendships.

Of course we want our dancers to work hard.

But underneath all of it, there has to be JOY.

The excitement of hearing your favourite music.

The giggles in class.

The thrill of finally nailing a step.

The nerves before walking onto the stage.

The huge smile when you come off it.

The friendships, the costumes, the rehearsals, the shows, the memories.

Because childhood goes by far too quickly.

And we want our dancers to look back on their time at Stagestruck and remember how much they loved dancing.

Our dancers learn that progress doesn’t happen overnight and that sometimes the biggest achievements come from the things they once thought they couldn’t do.

Whether it’s mastering a new step, passing an exam, performing on stage or preparing for a competition, we want our dancers to understand the value of commitment and consistency.

Because the feeling of “I couldn’t do it… but I didn’t give up” is one of the most valuable lessons dance can teach.
