MEET THE PRINCIPAL 💜
In 2007, I followed my dream and opened SB Ballet & Dance Studios. What began with a passion for teaching and a determination to create something special has grown into a dance school that I am incredibly proud to call ours.
Almost 20 years later, I still feel just as passionate about what we do and, most importantly, why we do it.
🩰 My passion has always been Classical Dance.
I truly believe that classical training provides the foundation for so many other styles of dance. Through ballet, our pupils develop strength, alignment, control, grace, musicality and technique — skills that they can carry with them throughout all aspects of their dance training.
But my vision for SB has always gone beyond simply creating well-trained dancers.
I want our school to help shape and develop young people.
To provide an environment where children feel cared for, nurtured and inspired to learn. Where every pupil is encouraged to work towards their own personal best, whether they attend one class a week or dedicate much of their time to their training.
From our very youngest dancers taking their first steps with us in Baby Blossoms and Blossom Ballerinas, right through to our senior students, I am passionate about providing training that is age-appropriate, progressive and centred around the individual child.
Today, I am incredibly proud to work alongside a wonderful team of teachers, offering training across Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Commercial, Acrobatics, PBT & Conditioning and Choreography. Our pupils can work towards examinations, perform on stage and, for those wanting to take their training further, become part of our competitive team.
But SB Ballet & Dance has become so much more than dance classes.
It’s community.
It’s friendships.
It’s support.
It’s confidence.
It’s building skills for life. 💜
Watching children walk through our doors, grow in confidence, develop their passion and become wonderful young people is one of the greatest privileges of what I do.
Nearly two decades after opening those doors, I still feel incredibly lucky to share my love of dance with the next generation.
