Hello Sharpshooters,

We wanted to keep you all in the loop!

No thanks to Scottish Power (again!) We wont be able to open up this weekend! They are working on the problem as we speak but its taken them alot longer then we all originally expected.

We will continue to keep you all updated.

Many Thanks from myself and the Team for everyone's patience as we get this sorted out!

Typical, the guys that came out to fix out electric are only doing have a day today!

Unfortunately, the power cut is taking longer then we anticipated to fix.

This means we will also have to be closed tomorrow too, so the guys can work without it feeling like ww3 😉

This Sunday (1st March 2026) the Middlesbrough Half Marathon is taking over the roads 🏅 which means we’ll be opening a little later than usual!

🎯 Black Dog Air Rifle Range will be open from
12PM 🎯

Plenty of time for the runners to smash their miles… then you can come and smash some targets 😉

Whether you’re racing, supporting, or just avoiding the traffic chaos — we’ll see you from midday for all your shooting fun!

🔫❔FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS❔🔫

Here are some questions that we're often asked. If you have a question that isn't listed please get in touch with us!

❓ Can I bring my own rifle? Yes – as long as it is under the UK legal limit of 12ft/lbs!

❓️ What distance is the range? We have a 10 meter and 15 meter range.

❓ Is there an age limit? Yes – it’s a minimum of 8 to shoot on our ranges. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21.

❓ Do I need to book? We recommend booking to guarantee your spot on the range, but we do welcome walk-ins! We do require bookings in advance for Experience Packages.

❓ Can you accommodate larger bookings? Yes, we often host larger bookings for a variety of occasions. Please give the range a call to arrange your booking.

❓ Is the range wheelchair accessible? Yes. Our booths are able to comfortably accommodate a wheelchair and our bathrooms are also accessible.

❓ Do I need to have any experience to visit the range? No! A lot of visitors to our range have never fired a rifle before. Our Range Officers are always on hand to help and you’ll be given a full induction on arrival.

❓ How does the range promote safety? On arrival all visitors are given a safety briefing. We provide safety glasses and hearing protection free of charge. A full list of range safety rules can be found on our website, and on posters around the ranges.

❓ What are your prices? For lane hire with your own rifle its £10 per hour. If you would like to come down for 2 hours its £15. 3rd hour free! For lane & rifle hire, its £20. You can add a pistol upgrade for £10! Our experience packages start from £45 but these must be booked in advance.

❓ Do you offer a membership? Yes! Our membership is £50 per month if your using your own equipment. £100 per month if you will be using ours. This includes 12 hours of shooting.

❓ What are your opening times? The range is closed on a Wednesday only. Open 10am - 8pm Monday, Tuesday,Thursday,Friday,Saturday,Sunday (last lanes at 7pm)
