Sunday superstars ✨️ A massive well done to David Simpson who tried out helming for the first time today, and was an absolute natural! Another well done to Grace who was out on the water before the session, practicing her O1 skills. Grace is so dedicated to her GB training, we're so proud 👏 💚💙

Today was a little bit of a different session... the team spotted a swan in difficultly, having trapped herself in the canal lock! The team managed to get her free, and keep her safe and cosy until the professionals could arrive.

We may have ruffled her feathers a little, but she was checked over and cleared to be let free! She'll be back to chasing us down the canal in no time 🦢

We have missed a few sessions due to the bitter cold, the other weekend the canal was full of ice! It was however lovely...

We have a very happy paddler today! Tim has very kindly built us proper access / steps down to the water edge (with help from his apprentice Trevor, who we owe a guiness or 2!). The very talented Judith surprised him with a cheesecake to say thank you 😋

Today we paused our training session at 11am for a 2 minutes silence. We reflect on all of the sacrifices made by past and present Armed Forces personnel. We are eternally grateful. Lest we forget.
