Well last night at the player of the year awards it was my last act as manger of the club its now handed over to Wayne Turner who will take on the role of manager for the upcoming season and beyond.
Its been a pleasure looking after this team for 7 years but the time is right for change, new ideas and a fresh impetus.

I will be watching as a fan from now on

Yesterday we welcomed Auchtermuchty to Herd Park in a league cup 1/4 final tie , we strat the game poorly and lose a soft goal to a long throw in we start to get a grip on the game and force a succession of corners but never really test the keeper, we attack down the right and Greg Houston wins us a pen and Connor Dewar draws us level, but almost immediately we give away a pen from which Muchty restore thier lead.
H-T 1-2
Second half starts and the game flows from end to end and from one of Auchtermuchty s attack they score a cracking 3rd goal we are finding it hard to breakdown a resolute defence but a good through ball puts Nizzy Nisbet through and he slots the ball past the keeper to get us back in the tie we press and try to force an equaliser but fail to really test the keeper and from a loose pass Muchty add a forth.
Game ends 2-4 which brings an end to the season for us .

Thanks to Auchtermuchty for the turn out back at the Bowling Club and good luck to them on Tuesday in thier Semi final .

Yesterday we made the trip to Auchtermuchty for our final league game of the season.
We headed up there with only 12 players due call offs and players having other things on.
We started the game well and took the game to our hosts creating chances down both flanks only poor finishes and poor decision making prevent us going in front, we take the lead when Innes Campbell lashes home a clearance into the top corner, we then lose a player to injury 25 mins and make our only substitution. We continue to dominate the game but fail to take our chances.

We start the second half playing into a strong wind and we are quickly put on the back foot as Muchty use the conditions to their advantage and get in behind us we are beginning to run out off steam and a combination of poor refereeing and failing to defend long throws or corners cost us and we concede four seconds half goals.
We can't fault the effort the guys put in today as we were up against it in the second half having no fresh legs to come on.

That brings to the end what can only be described as a poor league campaign.
We move onto our league cup 1/4 final tie on May 5th against the winners of the Auchtermuchty v Newport tie .

Yesterday we made the trip along A92 to take on Inverkiething United in a league game.
We start the game and Inverkiething come flying out the blocks and take the game to us and on one of their attacks we fail to track a midfield runner who latches onto a poor clearance and fires the hosts in front.
This kind of spurs us into action and we get a hold of the game and start to create chances from one of these chances Jake Emmerson pulls us level with a well struck shot from the edge of the box.
H-T 1-1

We start the second half as we finished the first on the front foot and dominating the midfield area we create loads of chances to put the game out of sight but a combination of great goalkeeping and poor finishing keeps the score level.
This came back to bite us as we are caught in possession at the back and in what was their first and only shot at goal in the second half Inverkiething took the lead, we camped in their half for the remainder of the half but failed to get the equaliser.
No matter how you look at this result it was poor and the manner of the defeat was hard to take .
We regroup and move onto Saturday away to Auchtermuchty.

Yesterday we welcomed St Monance to Herd Park in a league game.
The game starts in windy conditions and we go on the front foot looking for an early lead we create a couple of chances but take none.
We concede a corner where we switch off and let the St Monance striker fire home.
We try to get back into the game and win a pen which the St Monance keeper saves but we recycle the ball and Aaron Crookston hits a shot which deflects over the keeper to level the scores.
We are on the offensive now and create a couple of chances but their keeper is equal to the task.
As we near halftime we lose the ball easily in midfield and lose a poor second goal which puts us 2-1 down at halftime.
We change the formation at halftime to try out them under more pressure and for a while we dominate proceedings with their keeper pulling of some great stops, they use the wind to their advantage and hit us on the break and from one of these breaks we fail to clear the ball and they go 3-1 up.
We chase the game now and create chances but they catch us on a quick break away and our keeper comes out pulls down the striker which resulted in a straight Red we are now down to 10 men with 20 mins to go. Thierry Moffat sticks the gloves on and goes in between the sticks but has very little to do as we try to get back into the game but again a combination of good goalkeeping and poor finishing sees us finish the game with a 3-1 defeat.
In all honesty a poor day at the office for us as we lost to a team that wanted it more and fought for every ball.
