A fantastic second session of the season for our Mini Robins! 🖤❤️🖤🙌🏻

Today, we started with some fun little games to get warmed up. Following this, we had a chat about how we can move the ball around the pitch. Following, last weeks passing practice, today we worked on some ball mastery, practising our dribbling, with some target practice placing the ball into an empty net.

Trainer of the Week went to Vinnie, who showed his growing confidence to be involved in the game, putting those dribbling skills into practice and tackling well. 👏

All the children were brilliant today. Some terrific little battles in our mini game at the end of the session. An entertaining and end to end 1-1 draw 🤝. Superb to see the boys and girls shaking hands at the end and enjoying their football.

Big thanks to Coach Joe (U8s Coach) and Coach Finn for helping run training. 👌

Can’t wait to be back next Saturday! Well done to everyone! Have a great weekend.

Introducing…Metheringham Mini Robins! THE NEXT GENERATION! 🙌🏻⚽️⚽️⚽️🖤❤️🖤

Fantastic to get back out on the field with the 26-27 class of Mini Robins & great to see so many brand new faces! Most who have had less than a week and a half at school, so this was a big thing to step into! You ALL smashed it. 💪🏻

Yes, it was a bit chaotic in the game 😂🙈,
but I was super impressed with the children’s effort and participation today. We will work on some more fun games and activities for next week. 👍

Everyone joined in brilliantly and despite not being too sure at times, I know these superstars in the making will continue to learn the game and the difference within a few weeks will be massive! 👌

Trainer of the Week went to one of our senior Robins, Tommy. 🏆
Tommy was so determined today and worked incredibly hard in both the activities and the game. Shout out to Finley too, who bagged a few goals today and showed super confidence. 👍

09:00-10:00 on Metheringham Playing Field on Saturday mornings. Free this week but will be £2 per player in the future.

🖤❤️🖤 Mini Robins will be back very soon…following our summer break. First session back will be on Saturday morning on 13th September, for all Reception and Y1 children, boys and girls!
Sessions will run 09:30-10:30 on Metheringham Playing Field. We cannot wait to get back! ⚽️😁🖤❤️🖤

⚽️⚽️⚽️ The legendary Mini Robins were back in action this morning, working hard, having fun and learning the game! 💪🏻 Sadly, Coach Matt was injured today, but luckily Ben, Leigh and Finn were all on hand to run a terrific session! 👌. The coaches awarded George our ‘Trainer of the Week’ for his tenacity, positive attitude and hard work, bagging a goal too. 👏🏻

The boys learnt but the importance of moving after passing and finding space today. All the children love their football and we saw some terrific goals, passes, tackles. Some terrific saves from Oliver, Ben scoring direct from a goal kick, Nolan showcasing his terrific dribbling and powerful shooting and Arthur just putting one heck of a shift in all over the pitch (as always!) Seb, Logan and Finley all having super moments in the game too. Well done Robins! 🙌🏻

Wishing all of our Robins a fantastic week and see you all next week!

PS: If any of our Mini Robins and their families and friends wish to attend the Metheringham Junior Football Presentation tomorrow morning, then join us all on the playing field from 10:30am onwards. All welcome and might be inspiring for the children to see where they could be in a years time! 😊

⚽️⚽️⚽️ Last Saturday’s Mini Robins session saw another super turnout! Bit of Nottingham Forest takeover, with a trio of Forest fans in attendance! 🌳 Logan was our very deserved ‘Trainer of the Week’. Logan continues to grow in confidence and is working hard on all areas of his game. Showing excellent determination and commitment in the small sided game. All of the boys and girls were stars and show super passion and enthusiasm, week in-week out! 👏🏻😊

Well done, to all our Mini Robins. Keep up the excellent work! 🖤❤️🖤 ⚽️⚽️⚽️
