🖤❤️🖤 Last Saturday’s Mini Robins session was another cracker! The boys were all incredible. Terrific battling and some nifty footwork on display! Jack was our Trainer of the Week, as he showed good concentration and was focused and engaged throughout the session, bagging a goal in our mini game.

The group continue to go from strength to strength and Fin and myself thoroughly enjoy coaching and working with all the boys.

The U6 Metheringham team have their FIRST ever friendly game on Saturday July 4th, here in Meg. Hosting our Bardney U6 neighbours. We can’t wait. 🙌🏻

🖤❤️🖤 Throwback to Mini-Robins training on May 16th! These superstars absolutely smashed it 🔥🙌🏻. George was our Trainer of the Week, working ever so hard in all the drills and crucially showing super persistence throughout the game and popping the winning goal in with seconds to go!

Nice cameo appearance from Arthur (currently playing up a year for the U7’s) 👌. The boys are continuing to learn more every week, trying to find space and get their passes away to team-mates. No Big Ben this week but plenty of solid and committed tackling and I’ve told my assistant coach/goalkeeper (Henry U9’s) to stay strong when Nolan fires a rocket at him 🚀.

U6’s shaping up really well for their debut season 💪🏻 & always great to have younger Reception children turning up, having fun and learning the game. 😊 Up the Robins! ⚽️🖤❤️🖤

🖤❤️🖤 Smashing training session for our Meg Mini Robins this week! 🙌🏻. All of the boys growing so much in confidence, awareness and ability every week! 💪🏻. Trainer of the Week went to Oliver, who showed plenty of determination and his ball control and passing is really coming on.

The whole group give it their all, every single week and we had some fun with a goal kick competition and a passing challenge, which all of the boys absolutely nailed 🎯.

All of the Mini Robins would like to wish the Metheringham first team the absolute best of luck today, in their cup final. Bring it home boys. 😊💪🏻🖤❤️🖤

If anyone fancies coming down to the LNER stadium (Sincil Bank) today to cheer the club on, the game kicks off at 3pm. Card only and tickets on the gate.

⚽️⚽️⚽️ Mini Robins back in action this morning and despite a few being away, we still had a belting session in the sunshine! ☀️ 🖤❤️🖤
Trainer of the Week went to Ben this week, plenty of energy, key interceptions, passes and a goal.

All the boys were terrific. The improvements are so clear, as the boys are now so much more aware of where their team mates are and are increasingly moving into space and finding one another with excellent passes. The future looks very bright. A very exciting 5-5 thriller in the game at the end. Nolan, George, Oliver and Logan you were stars today. 👏🏻 Big thanks to Henry (Meg U9’s) for helping out and nice to see little Alex (a future Mini Robin) getting involved! ⚽️⚽️⚽️

🖤❤️🖤 Metheringham Mini Robins “School of Excellence”, Trainer of the Week winners from our last two sessions. Congratulations to Arthur, Nolan and Ben. 🙌🏻. Week after week, these children never fail to amaze. Their energy, positive attitude and enthusiasm is inspiring. So many great moments within the games from dazzling dribbles, thunderbolt shots to last gasp tackles and stunning saves. 🖤❤️🖤

The boys & girls have recently been working on 1-2 passing. Practicing 1 on 1’s, ball mastery relay games and their crossing accuracy and all have shown great ability and increased confidence. 👏🏻

Robins ⭐️’s of the future for sure! Hope all the Mini Robins are enjoying a fun Easter Break and see you all soon!

The Mini-Robins continue their footballing journey! Another excellent session, last Saturday. Super turnout and fun had by all! 😊
Seb, was our ‘Trainer of the Week’. He showed really positive attitude and despite being a little nervous initially contributed superbly in the game, making great tackles and confidently passing the ball forward to team-mates. Well done, Seb 🙌🏻

As always, every one of our Robins showed a first class attitude. Listening well to instructions and showing their emerging skills both in the drills and in the small sided game.

Throwback to Saturday March 7th!
A super session (always guaranteed!) with our Mini Robins! 🖤❤️🖤. Belle awarded our ‘Trainer of the Week’ Award, for her positive attitude, effort and commitment to getting involved in all activities and the game with the boys (many a year above too!). Well done, Belle. 🙌🏻.

Every player growing in confidence and awareness and above all hopefully having fun 😊. We saw some great ball control, some exciting 1 on 1’s with determined tackling and incredible determination from both sides in the mini-game too. Keep up the super work. Well done. 👏🏻 ⚽️🖤❤️🖤⚽️

⭐️⚽️ Our most recent winners of the ‘Mini Robins Trainer of the Week’ are Ben and Arthur. Both young Robins working tremendously hard throughout training sessions, showing good listening and excellent determination in our mini games. ⚽️⭐️

All of our Mini Robins are enjoying their football and last week we refined our passing technique, with a little light pressure on the ball. This week we worked on our ball control and had plenty of one on one duels!

Many of the Mini Robins are beginning to find space and look for their team mates with passes. Nolan deserves a special mention for his passing in today’s session. 👌.
