🎾 Barclays Free Park Tennis – Cyfarthfa Park 🎾

Another fantastic morning of Barclays Free Park Tennis took place today at Cyfarthfa Park! ☀️🎾

It was great to welcome both familiar faces and some new participants to the courts. The session was packed with fun, laughter, and plenty of tennis, with everyone getting involved regardless of age or ability.

From our younger players enjoying games and activities on the Mickey Mouse nets to our older participants taking part in rallies, singles, and doubles matches, there was something for everyone. The courts were full of energy, smiles, and lots of great tennis throughout the hour.

It's always fantastic to see families playing together, children growing in confidence, and friendships being made through sport. The enthusiasm shown by everyone today helped create another brilliant community tennis session.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made the morning such a success. Your continued support means so much and helps make these sessions possible.

Just a reminder that Free Park Tennis will now take a short break, returning on Saturday 11th July. 🎾💙

Unfortunately, due to low attendance numbers, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow's Monthly Multi-Sports Session, along with next month's session.

With fewer than five participants attending, we are unable to cover the cost of hiring the hall. We will take some time to review and rethink these sessions and hope to bring them back in the future in a format that is sustainable and accessible for everyone.

We would like to thank everyone who has supported and attended the sessions so far. Your support is greatly appreciated and means a lot to us.

In the meantime, our tennis sessions begin next week, and it would be fantastic to see some familiar faces there. 🎾

We are delighted to be running two fantastic tennis programmes with Merthyr Tydfil Tennis Club this summer, giving children of all abilities the opportunity to get active, learn new skills, make friends, and most importantly have fun!

🎾 After School Tennis Sessions. Perfect for children looking to enjoy tennis through fun games, activities, and challenges in a friendly environment.

📅 Dates: • Thursday 25th June • Thursday 2nd July • Thursday 9th July • Thursday 16th July
⏰ Time: 16:30 – 17:30

🎾 Another Fantastic Tennis Fun Day! 🎾

Earlier this week, we held the second of our four Tennis Wales Festivals/Fun Days, this time at Caedraw Primary School.

Working with children from Years 3 to 6 and LRB 2, the day was packed with laughter, energy, and a little healthy competition. Every child and even some of the teachers gave 100%, they showed fantastic enthusiasm, and threw themselves into every activity with a smile.

It was wonderful to receive such positive feedback from both the children and staff, and seeing everyone enjoying themselves made the day a huge success.

We hope this was just the beginning of their tennis journey. Hopefully we'll see some of you next year at our Tennis After School Club 🤞 Until then, we'd love to welcome some of you along to our Barclays Free Park Tennis sessions on Saturday mornings at Cyfarthfa Castle & Park Tennis courts, where you can continue to develop your skills, make new friends, and most importantly, have fun!

🎾 Tennis Fun Day Success! 🎾

Yesterday, we held the first of our four Fun Days/Festivals, kicking things off with the fantastic pupils of Blessed Carlo Acutis Catholic School St Mary's Campus.

Working with children from Years 3 to 6, the day was filled with plenty of laughter, energy, and just a little bit of healthy competition! Every child gave 100%, showed great enthusiasm, and embraced every activity with a smile.

It was wonderful to receive such positive feedback from both teachers and pupils, and we're grateful to everyone who helped make the day such a success.

We hope this was just the start of their tennis journey, and we'd love to see some of the children joining us at our Barclays Free Park Tennis sessions on Saturday mornings.

A huge thank you to BCA St Mary's for having us – we can't wait for the next Tennis Fun Day! 🎾😊
