Very big few days for Team Inspire πŸ€

Chris is doing his qualifying swim on Monday, 20k without a wetsuit from Penarth to Llanwit Major so he will be allowed to tackle the channel swim in July. Good luck to our very own dolphin 🐬

Karen is doing a 12 hour relay swim in Cardiff in a team of 3. Swimming 30 mins each every 1.5 hours for 12 long hours! Go Karen!! 🏊

Also Saturday, 36 of us will be sweating it out at Metrix Cardiff. 5 ten minute stations in pairs πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ

7 weeks today until the big event I’ve been training for since February, T100 London. 1.2 mile swim, 50 mile bike, 11 mile run, totalling 100k 🏊 πŸš΄πŸƒβ€β™€οΈβ€βž‘οΈ

Yesterday was a standard distance triathlon. 1 mile swim, 24 mile bike, 6 mile run. I beat both my past times at the same event, 13 years older and also came 2nd in my age category πŸ₯ˆ

The goal was to maintain my race pace throughout which I did comfortably. I physically felt great, which is thanks to the training, my recovery protocol and a good diet. I’ve been religious with hyperbaric oxygen therapy, quality sleep, sauna and cold dip since the beginning of the year and it has helped substantially.

Recovery and nutrition are as equally important as training. The biggest game changer has definitely been oxygen aiding my recovery, can’t recommend it enough to all athletes 🫧
