🏌️‍♂️ MATCH PREVIEW 🏌️‍♂️

The Morlais Castle GC Men’s 1st Team return to home action this Friday as we welcome Creigiau GC 1st Team for another important league fixture.

Confidence is high after last week’s outstanding 3-0 victory over league leaders Caerphilly GC, a performance that showcased the team’s determination, discipline and quality. The challenge now is to build on that result and continue the momentum in front of the home support.

FULL TIME | Morlais Castle GC Men’s 2nd Team 1 – 2 Glynneath GC 1st Team

The winning run came to an end on Wednesday evening as our Men’s 2nd Team suffered a narrow 2–1 defeat at home to a strong Glynneath GC 1st Team.

Having built momentum with back-to-back victories in recent weeks, the lads went into the fixture full of confidence and produced another committed performance. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, they came up just short against quality opposition.

While the result didn’t go our way, there were plenty of positives to take from the match. The team showed the same determination, resilience and togetherness that has become a hallmark of this group over the past few weeks, and they’ll be looking to bounce back quickly in the next fixture.

🏌️‍♂️ WAYFARERS MATCH REPORT 🏌️‍♂️

It was another challenging evening for the Wayfarers as Morlais Castle were beaten 4½–½ away to Blackwood.

Despite the result, the scoreline doesn’t tell the full story. There were competitive matches throughout the evening, with the team battling hard against a strong home side. As has been the case for much of the season, commitment, determination and sportsmanship were evident from every player representing the club.

This campaign has certainly tested the Wayfarers. Difficult away fixtures, challenging conditions and some strong opposition have made it a tough season, but the team has continued to turn out, compete with pride and represent Morlais Castle Golf Club with professionalism every step of the way.

Congratulations to Blackwood on their victory, and thank you to everyone who travelled to support the team—it is always appreciated.

We regroup, we keep working hard, and we look forward to the next challenge.

Heads up, Wayfarers. We go again. 💙🤍

A spirited performance from the Men’s 3rd Team wasn’t quite enough as they were edged out 2–1 at home by Langland 2.

After a closely contested evening, the visitors just did enough to take the points, but there were plenty of positives for Morlais Castle to take from the match. The team continue to show great determination and togetherness, with every fixture proving how much this group has developed since the opening weeks of the season.

Having overcome a difficult start to the campaign, the 3rds have shown they are capable of competing with anyone on their day. They’ll take confidence from another competitive performance as attention now turns to the next challenge.

A big thank you to Langland 2 for an enjoyable match and to Shadow Surfacing Ltd for their continued support of Morlais Castle Golf Club.
