A massive well done to Seb for being our Swimmer of the Week! 👏🏊‍♂️

We’re so proud of all the hard work he’s put in every single week. His confidence, technique, and progress have come on so much, and it’s been a pleasure teaching and working with him throughout.

With it being his last week in school, we thought it was only right to recognise all the effort he’s put in. A very well-deserved achievement!

And just like that, the weekend is over. 💙

This weekend reminded me exactly why I love what I do.

I’m so grateful I had the chance to help so many amazing children with ALN take their first steps on their swimming journey. It was something completely outside of my comfort zone, but I’m so glad I took the opportunity with open arms. Safe to say I learned just as much as the children did.

Working with children with ALN is truly something special. Every child is different, and being able to understand them, build their trust, and create an environment where they felt safe, happy and confident in the water was my biggest goal. Watching them smile, grow in confidence and achieve things they didn’t think they could is the most rewarding feeling.

A massive thank you to every family who came along and trusted me with their children. Your support means the world. And, as always, the biggest thank you to Swim Labs and Spectrum Hub Merthyr for giving me this opportunity. I genuinely loved every minute of it. 💙

Meet Will 💙

Will is about to complete his 5-week block with us, and what a journey it’s been!

He’s worked incredibly hard and come so far, showing up every single week with a smile on his face and ready to learn.

Will was never afraid of the water and could already swim, but his goal was to become a more efficient and technically stronger swimmer, just like his dad. That’s exactly what he’s done.

He’s gone from swimming for around 10 seconds at a time to over a full minute with confidence and control. The progress he’s made has been amazing, and it’s all down to his hard work, determination, and willingness to learn.

With just one session left, I can’t wait to celebrate him being able to swim confidently and safely in the water. So proud of you, Will! 🌊👏

Big smiles tonight as Maeva was awarded Swimmer of the Week! 🙌🏻🏊‍♀️💙

We couldn’t be prouder of how far she’s come. Week after week she turns up with a smile, works hard, listens, and gives every lesson her best. Seeing her confidence grow in the water and being recognised for all her effort makes moments like this so special.

A huge well done, Maeva – you absolutely deserve it! Keep believing in yourself and enjoying every minute in the pool. We can’t wait to see what you achieve next! 🌟

☀️‼️ Just a quick reminder, everyone – there is absolutely no need to cancel or postpone any swimming sessions this week due to the hot weather.

In fact, the pool is one of the best places to be during a heatwave. Swimming allows you to exercise and stay active while being surrounded by cool water, helping your body regulate its temperature even when you’re working at a higher heart rate 🫡

Our facility is fully prepared for the warmer conditions. The reception area, changing rooms, and poolside environment are all maintained to be cool, comfortable, and safe for swimmers and parents 🥰

We also have a selection of drinks and food available to help you stay hydrated, energised, and keep your blood sugar levels topped up.

Whether you’re one of our coaching clients or part of our swim school programme, all sessions will continue as normal and there is no need to rearrange your booking.

🏊‍♂️ Exciting News from MJ Swim School! 🏊‍♀️

We’re delighted to be hosting a special Learn to Swim Weekend for Spectrum Hub on July 4th & 5th.

All lessons will be delivered on a 1-to-1 basis in our private Endless Pool, providing a calm, supportive environment where every swimmer receives individual attention and can progress at their own pace.

We will be located at the wonderful Swim Labs Merthyr facilities💕

We’re looking forward to helping children build confidence, develop essential water safety skills, and enjoy their time in the pool.
