TROEDYRHIW START THEIR PG DIVISION 2 SEASON WITH A BANG!
Fantastic performance from all yesterday.
In the early stages Lee Morgan's rink burst in to a 11-0 lead after just five ends, and kept their foot on the throttle throughout. With the front end of Steve Flynn and Glenn Callan always on top. As they creeped up to the halfway stage their opposing rink started to find the pace and the lines of the green and picked up a 4 on the 13th end, this joy was short lived for Gilfach as the next two ends went the way of Lee's rink picking up a massive 6 and a 4. Rink final score - 32-15
Richard Davies' rink also started quickly and were up 11-0 come the 5th end.
A few well deserved 4's were devastating to Gilfach. Richard was showing some of the best form of this season as he turned around several heads where Gilfach were holding 3's and 4's and turned into Troedyrhiw picking up the end. Rink Final Score 26-8
Ethan Humphreys Rink was back and forth throughout, at the early stages they were down before picking up a 3 to be leading 5-3 at the 5th end. From here they picked up pace with some stunning deliveries from both Ethan and Fred. Don't think Ethan wanted to go home at one point after having 3 Dead ends, before the opposing skip giving another dead end on the 21st end when needing a 3 to draw the rink and Ethan holding shot. Ethan's Rink stood strong, picking up a single on the final end to win 21-17.
Andy O'Sullivan's rink were up against it, facing a strong rink. In the early stages Andy was leading and looking strong, but come the halfway stage their Gilfach Rink found their lines and weight and pushed on winning the rink 22-16.
