We’re proud to officially announce the Heads of the Valleys Basketball League, launching October 2026.

Created to provide a competitive environment for young, developing and new senior players, the league is focused on giving players more opportunities to compete, develop and progress within the game.

🏀⛰️ WE’RE LIVE! ⛰️🏀

The Merthyr Mustangs Pen y Fan Endurance Challenge Crowdfunder is officially LIVE! 💙

On 5th September, Iwan and Simon will be taking on Pen y Fan and challenging themselves to see how many times they can reach the summit within their planned timeframe. 💪⛰️

We’re taking on this challenge to raise funds to support the continued growth of Merthyr Mustangs Basketball Club, while also supporting Mind, the mental health charity. 💙

For us, this is about much more than basketball. We want Merthyr Mustangs to provide a positive and supportive outlet for people — somewhere to play, connect with others, switch off from everyday pressures and feel part of a community.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this post and our Crowdfunder would mean just as much to us. 🙌

As many of you know, Yvie-Rose has been selected to represent Wales internationally in basketball, which we are incredibly proud of.
Basketball Wales has set up official crowd funding and sponsorship to help support the team with the costs of international competition. Any support, big or small, is hugely appreciated.
