2nd August 2015 - we’ve packed down the site and survived our first ever major event. Taking in the comments and reviews….and all the love!

2nd August 2025 - Mud7 lives on! Taking on Holbrooks parkrun alongside some Mud7 runners in their retro finishers tops.

Today is our 10th anniversary.

What started off as an idea between friends became our life for many years.

Saturday 1st August 2015 is where it all began. A stressful but fun day. We went on to organise 6 Mudnificent 7 events in total, raising over £300,000 for local charities.

A red faced training run ahead of our 10th anniversary parkrun next Saturday. Tell us where you’re running and don’t forget to wear your mud7 top and get a selfie! If your mud7 tops don’t fit or you can’t find them, any OCR top will do!

It’ll be our 10th anniversary on 1st August, so as a celebration, we want to see as many of you as possible at your local Parkrun on Saturday 2nd August, wearing one of your Mud7 finishers T-shirts.

Kevin will be at the Coventry Holbrooks one, and we may even see Carl pounding the pavements a bit further north.

This year will unbelievably be the 10 year anniversary since the first ever Mudnificent 7 event. We look back with real fond memories of what we achieved with this event, not just with the amount of money we helped raise for good causes, but for making memories that will last a lifetime.

It is with deep regret that we announce the cancellation of our planned event in 2022.

Since the pandemic took hold of the country, the outdoor events industry has been negatively impacted more than most and is still suffering from a lack of confidence from people signing up. We've not had enough support this year to put on an event that is worthy of the Mud7 brand.

We've taken the decision now so that anybody that has already entered will get a full refund and will be able to make alternative plans for that weekend. If you have already signed up, you don't need to do anything - a refund will be sent to the payment card that you used to purchase your ticket/s. If your card has changed, please contact trumin who will update your details.

From a personal point of view, we'd like to thank each and every one of you who have supported the event since we started it in 2015. We've lived and breathed every minute and have made some good friends along the way. We've helped raise over £300,000 for local charities which has made a big difference to a lot of people, and we've created memories and adventures for people that will live on for a long time.

Thank you for your understanding, this has been our life for 7 years and we've loved every minute of it.....well, almost all of it! Maybe one day we'll see you back in the mud!
