I created Lankeys following my passion of the great outdoors and the need to be constantly prepared. Inspired by legends such as Bear Grylls and Ray Mears, the Lanky Lanyard range incorporates all that is outdoors, practical but affordable. Each lanyard is woven and tied by me and made from high quality paracord. They are fully customisable whether you are hiking, camping, fishing or simply a prac

Paracord is an intensely versatile, strong, lightweight and integral part of any serious survival kit. Generally made up of between 7 and 9 strands of nylon, paracord has an incredible breaking strength of 550lbs, in normal money that is 1/4 of a ton! Originally for the brave army guys way back in the 2nd world war, this ingenious rope was created for parachutes and therefore designed to be malleable, ultra strong and light as a feather, as there would be 100’s of yards wrapped up in a ball of silk waiting to be deployed. As the make up of this product is nylon, it will not perish, rot or degrade making it an ideal base core for any survival kit. The uses for paracord are:

- Lankeys Lanyard core

- Shelter roof (when strung between two trees and foliage used)

- Repairs to other survival gear (clothing, bags, boot laces)

- Fishing line (use the inner threads)

- Hoisting

- Snares (use the inner threads)

- Weapon making (spears, bow and arrow)

- Basic 1st aid (sling, splint)

- Keeping food off the ground

- Trip wire alarm for unwanted animals in the wild

- Raft making

Available in many colours from standard black to iridescent yellow with reflective stripes, the choice is completely yours but one thing is for sure, you will not be disappointed with its quality and versatility.

Single Cobra Survival Bracelet (Shackle Clasp with integral Compass)
This is not only a unique piece of wrist wear but also a practical one.
Made up of 8 foot of 7 strand 550 grade Paracord, this bracelet when untied is capable of getting you out of a number of jams.
Simply break the two melted ends and untie the bracelet, this takes no more than 5 minutes and you are left with a length of rope capable of holding over half a ton of weight.
Ideal for snares, fishing line (use the inner strands) repairs to kit, medical emergencies (splint, sling, tourniquet).
The shackle has a built in fully operational compass with the ability to be used for winching or tying off if needed.
Alternatively leave it tied up and simply look ultra cool!

So here is something a little different.

This particular Lankeys Survival Lanyard is made from around 20 feet of 550 9 strand paracord in 2 lengths.

It is made up of a double crown knot which looks spectacularly detailed and is so easy to untie if required.

I have used red with black fleck and white with black fleck to contrast the two. the solid coloured lanyards are one continuous length.

The Survival items on these great looking Lanyards are:

1 x Screw lock load bearing shackle
1 x Aluminium LED Torch
1 x Rolson Multi-function Knife, Scissors, Screwdriver, Corkscrew
1 x Constant beacon LED torch
1 x Double ended mini screwdriver (great for sunglasses)
1 x Capsule containing over 30ft of fishing wire and hooks
1 x Eternal flame striker
1 x Wire saw (can also be used as a snare)
1 x Ultra strong water bottle holder with compass
1 x 110 decibel Survival whistle with Thermometer

Morning everyone,

It's Sunday, it's sunny and the rain has gone!!!

That can mean only one thing:

***COMPETITION TIME!***

Below is a picture of a length of 550 7 strand paracord, intensely strong with a breaking point of 550lbs or in old money 1/4 of a ton!
It won't rot, degrade and has a multitude of uses used in its complete state or by using the inners and outer separately.

So ..............

Whoever guesses the length of the paracord in the picture on the left to the nearest cm will win the survival bracelet in the next picture (which I made from the same cut of paracord)

Just to help the blue and red bracelet is 8" long excluding the compass clasp.

Over 9 feet of paracord in the single cobra or 18 feet in the double cobra, you can choose from various clasps like the standard push fit chrome

The Lankeys Lanyard shown here incorporates over 18 feet of quality 550, nine strand paracord in one length, tied into a double cobra knot configuration with my fair hands.

Simply break the seals at the end and untie (this takes around 3-4 mins)

On quick release lobster clips are the following:

- 4" aluminium police torch

- Eternal match lighter

- Rolson multi-tool and knife

- 2" x 2" watertight canisters containing matches, fishing line, hooks, needles and thread

- 110 decibel survival whistle with compass and thermometer

- Cable saw

- Two carabiner clips
