Chris is an Advanced Instructor and holds the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence, meaning he's commercially endorsed up to 200Gt and 150Nm from shore.

He's been driving powerboats since 1994 and brings a wealth of experience from the commercial marine and watersports world.

When he's not with us, Chris works as a freelance commercial skipper specialising in hydrographic survey work - and he's also an experienced kite surf instructor! 🪁

After so many years with Seawake, it's time to say a huge thank you and goodbye to Geoff 💙⚓

Since Covid alone, Geoff has clocked up over 5000 hours of training on the water - helping launch countless people on their boating journey, sharing his knowledge, and making friends for life along the way.

Geoff isn't going far though - he'll still be out on the water, just on his own boat. So if you're doing a course with us, keep your eyes on the Menai Strait... there's a good chance you'll spot him!

Thank you for everything, Geoff. You'll be missed, but we know the Strait hasn't seen the last of you 🌊

Ever played “how close can you get?” 🐦

One of our instructors’ favourite games on the water - creeping up on a cormorant perched on a buoy without spooking it off. It looks like a bit of fun (and it is!) but it’s actually about teaching some of the most important skills in powerboating: reading tidal flow, precise boat control, and the art of going slow and steady.

Nature’s way of checking your throttle control. 10/10 control here, top marks 😎
