Melton Jujitsu We are a Martial Arts club in Melton Mowbray, specialising in self defence through Jujitsu.

Melton Jujitsu hold three classes for Tiger Cubs (age 4-7), Juniors (age 8-14) and Seniors (age 15+)

Always happy to see new students wanting to learn Self Defence, improve their confidence & fitness, whilst having fun. We've been in Melton for over 10 years and have a large and very friendly club that caters for age 3 - 103+, we're always pleased to see new faces and everyone is welcome. Our classes run on:

Thursday
5:30 - 6:30 pm Tiger Cubs (age 3 -6)
6:30 - 7:30 pm Juniors (age 7 - 14)
7:30 - 9:00 pm Seniors (age 15+)
Sunday
6:00 - 7:00 pm Iaido, Japanese sword
7:00 - 9:00pm age 14+

Really busy night in all three Junior classes, especially the Tiger Cubs, and with only three more classes for them before grading, it's good that we can work with them all to get them ready.
Missing a few seniors, but we have an extra week before their event and they can also do Sundays, so no sweat.

We're also seeing a lot of interest in the classes as usual at this time of year and hopefully they'll be joining and start their new martial art journey with us.

Everything all back to normal now and we had full mats in all four classes last night. With a few more faces giving our art a try 👍

A bid of a sad night as we said goodbye to two of our junior Black Belts as they are moving on.
It's been an absolute pleasure to teach them both and watch them grow. Owen for six years & Rosie for five, that's almost half their life here 🥳. We wish them all the best for the future.

Due to a calendar clash, Sensei Antony, Steve & Tanya won't be there next Thursday, we do still however have Sensei Luke, Simon & John here, being assisted by Megan & Jennifer on the mat & Luke P on reception. What a team 🥰.

Congratulations to our latest Junior Black belts - Rosie, Tommy & Ethan, as well as our two Senior Shodan - Saul & Nyal.

In front of a grading panel of five Instructors, they showed knowledge, physical strength as well as determination.

We're proud to call you Black Belts and know you all gave it your best. Some are now on to pastures new, and we wish you all the best for the future, while some are staying on to take their next step along this path 👊.

As we head towards the new school year, we saw most students back from their holidays and we're getting back to our normal numbers.
Lots of energy on the mat and some great techniques being shown. We do have an eye on the next big grading in October and have six weeks to get everyone on track.

However, we do have a very special weekend for three Juniors and two seniors as they take their Black belts on Sunday 🥳. It a long road to this point and just staying on the path is an achievement in itself.
It's going to be great and we just can't wait.

It’s going to be super hot again on Thursday, but we’ll be here in the shade.
All of the windows will be wide open and fans on turbo to keep it cool.

You can wear appropriate sports clothes instead of your gi, and bring a cold drink.

The training will be steady, with an easy warm up.

Students are dropping in and out as they enjoy the summer holidays, but we're always here keeping the training going.

We have a special date coming up as we have three Juniors and two Seniors taking their Black Belt later this month. A very special date for these and we're working hard to make sure they are the best they can be.

Still seeing new faces and hoping to see more in the next few weeks as we head towards the new school year.

On a Thursday evening:
4:30 - 5:30 we have a class for age 4-7 that we call Tiger Cubs
5:30 - 6:30 we teach Junior beginners for age 8-13
7:30 - 9:00 is for adults, starting age is 14 but we have students here over 60 👍
We also teach adults on a Sunday 7:00 - 9:00 pm

Just come along in sports clothes, bring a drink and enjoy a free session to see if the class is right for you. Just say Steve invited you.

We don't close for the holidays, so we will see you soon
